Re: Official RS6 Pic thread
If anyone's interested in getting their trims wrapped, Valetmagic come highly recommended, they're based in Camberley, Surrey. Highly recommended ! Valet Magic ! until you take the wraps off and see the scalpel damage, well documented on the gtr forums. They would be the last place I would use. I h...

Re: Bad day
I agree they get (got) what they deserved (not enough actually, i'd have them both chemically castrated, we don't need anymore of those genes), but I am not sure that they will see it that way. The 'wixer' on your car, 'might' not feel too wronged, but the 'wixer' in the road will surely have a go a...

RS6 closed order books (or about to close)
I have been told today that no new RS6 orders are being taken at the factory. Cars in the system already are still available in now limited numbers.
Not sure of the validity of the source, but the timing seems about right.
Anybody heard anything similar ?

Re: RS6 Virtual Cockpit
I wouldn't want it either - agree it needs more work. Although I would like to be able to set the between the dials map to "overview' so I can make a decision on whether a nav re-route is sensible, rather than have to follow it blindly. I think Mikes right - copy/paste error (wouldn't be an Audi 1st...

RS6 Virtual Cockpit
Is MY18 about to add virtual cockpit to RS6 ? Just noticed this in the new RS6 brochure "Personalise your Audi RS 6 with a range of optional equipment choices. Some options have been packaged together for added convenience whilst others are available individually. From a Technology Pack featuring Au...

Re: Fancy a upgrade?
I went from a FL to a PE - same spec other than dropped night vision which I didn't use and Daytona to Nardo. Both DRC In all honesty I cant say I notice any power difference at all. I am sure there is a bit if you get a stopwatch out, but in reality it's meaningless on the road. The only difference...

Re: Stolen wheels
Bet it was a small van with a side door - maybe an air jack - didn't even have to get out the van and obscured from view from all sides. Looks quite organised to me.

Re: Testing the water... possible sale
As an example, Tootle will typically pay north of 60k for a decent example FL RS6 (as a good few members on here have proven) and the dealers are happy to make small margins to sell them on as they are popular. I'm happy to agree with you on this from personal experience only. I sold my 1 year old ...

Get it to a specialist.....and good luck 1) Take the car to see a tuner straight away, the software needs changed ........ Am I missing something here ? OP - Do you not advertise your self as ".......being one of Lincolnshire’s only Independent VW Group Specialists" and you offer Remapping services...

Re: Looking for some spaceship action !
Regarding Night Vision, I had it on my FL car but left it off on my PE. It does work and once caught a small deer crossing about 100m in front of me - warning sound and flashed up in HUD. It's quite cool looking in between the dials at people bracketed in yellow when it's dark but the novelty wear's...

Thanks Mike - that's helpful - I'll get underneath and have a look
Do you know whether the exhaust tips can be replaced without removing either as well ?

Rear Diffuser removal
Can the rear diffuser be removed without removing the bumper ?
Someone caught the edge of the diffuser whilst parking - not very noticeable and perhaps not worth repair if the bumper needs to be removed as well
Thanks

Re: Ceramic Brakes - Soft Pedal
I know it's not quite what you describe, but Chris Harris noted occasional extremely sharp braking in his rs6. Speaking to Quattro gmbh they explained that they had fitted a booster to the pedal to prevent the travel getting to long. Whilst it doesn't explain the lack of braking it might explain the...
