Re: SJP continued
Hi Tom You most certainly do not need to drop the engine :-) There are 16 bolts and 4 nuts which hold the manifold in place. If you have removed all of these, the water pipes and the vacuum pipe, the 2 boost return pipes (audi calls them pressure pipes) then all it will stuck on is the 2 dowels. Yo...

Re: SJP continued
You guys are absolute legends! I'll be starting this as I go and since I've made an appearance I shall make a point of being more active. The mercs are gone (it's been a while since an RS Audi) so my signature is very outdated but I shall sort all that out once this RS6 is off the ramp! Been a slog....

Re: SJP continued
Hey guys, Just found this after talking to another member, currently working on a friend's C5 and I'm trying to remove the manifold, everything that I can find is removed but it won't budge. Can anyone enlighten me on the process to remove the inlet without dropping the engine? Can't figure out for ...

Re: Whats the best millage to buy a used RS6 C6
Millage isnt an issue really they are solid engines, as long as the obvious issues are sorted! I'd rather have one thats been well looked after in stage 2 form with a gearbox service already done etc etc... than one with lower millage, i fell foul of that with my first RS6. It had low millage but no...

Re: To remap or not to remap, that's the question....
Had two RS6's one with a "generic" 650bhp remap and then my second car was MRC Stage 2, as Above the car is transformed and overall it makes it into a savage beast of a machine. Ian runs 900+ and with regular servicing the general internals of these engines is fantastic, overall a remap wont affect ...

Re: RS6 C6 front brake kit
Truly an epic kit as Ian said the AP 410's lasted 10+ laps of croft circut without any fade whatsoever they really are a stunning kit for the money, reccommend a brake fluid upgrade to AP's RadiCal R4 fluid or RBF600 etc.

Re: RS6 C6 gearbox oil change
Have it changed, mine was done twice and it made a huge difference... make sure whoever you get to do it does a proper change where they drain the full sump and torque converter. It should take roughly 9+ litres if the jobs done right, also make sure you get a new filter and that when the oil is don...

Re: Gone to a new home !!!!
Look closely at the paint, every used matte car I've seen has been hanging and the paint cannot be corrected. I had a good look on Saturday and it looked pretty spot on. Wasn't the best day to view a car as it wasn't prepped and it was raining. It has been well looked after, the interior looks and ...

Re: advice for rs6 v10
Having only read half the thread.. i can also say that the RS6 is a car to be ticked off the bucket list, be warned though once you own one and push to Stage 2 think about your next car choice very wisely as you will struggle to find something to better it. They are pure savage beast, the engine is ...
