Is this repairable: I don’t have the spare cash to replace it after some ass wipe smashed it off earlier whilst outside the house.
Police won’t do anything and the council won’t hand me cctv footage unless I go through insurance. Don’t really want to lose NCBs.

Re: Oil Pressure Warning
So update:
Took it on an approx 90 mile round trip yesterday.
It performed without issue. Fingers crossed it was a dodgy switch or some other minor issue.
I do have both rocker covers leaking badly (yet one was replaced 4 months ago - or so I thought) next job is to replace them.

Re: Oil Pressure Warning
So yesterday it went into the garage, and it had a replacement switch, a flush, and an oil & filter change. However, since the light came on, I’ve driven it 3 times, and it hasn’t come back on. So potentially it was a dying switch. Also discovered the last garage didn’t tighten the clamps on the OS ...

I’m not a fan of having gauges on the dashboard in stock cars. Reminds me of the Chavvy boy racers having various gauges in their Saxo’sIchBautAuto wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 11:06 amRecommend you fit an oil pressure gauge. That and a boost gauge are prime diagnostic tools.

Re: Oil Pressure Warning
Level appears to be fine.
I’ve driven it since and it hasn’t come back on. But I’m going to take it in to the garage and get it checked out, just for peace of mind.

Oil Pressure Warning
Guys, Was leaving Torquay yesterday, and I had the red Oil light Come on and three beeps, so I pulled off the road, and eventually got it recovered home to Taunton (7hours later) Had it recovered to mums as that’s where the AA account is registered too, and I tentatively drove the couple of miles ho...

Re: Window glass
Can't offer any advise other than to presume that the C5 A6 glass will fit. Just for my own peace of mind though, why did the doors auto lock when the door blew shut? AFAIK, you can have the central locking programmed to auto lock when you drive off (mine doesn't) but I can't think of a scenario wh...

Window glass
Hi all, Locked keys in car accidentally (wind blew door shut) So ended up having to smash the near side rear door glass. Autoglass don’t stock the glass, and won’t for at least 7 working days. Yet I go on holiday before that and need the car. Is standard A6 glass the same? I can buy the setup for £6...

Re: This is going to hurt
Update: off to Citizens Advice. Going to launch one on the garage.
Plus seek compensation for damage to the rear bench.
What utter kn0b chucks parts on the seats....???
I’ve also run in so far at 300miles, all seems fine.

Re: This is going to hurt
Well I’ve got it back, it wasn’t a pleasant experience and had to call the police. They handed me the key, before discussing payment, I offered an interim payment until issues are resolved and I was satisfied the car was running properly. They declined and the office guy got nasty trying to take the...

Re: This is going to hurt
So update: they’ve been quite petulant and removed the new battery, that was effectively costing me £80 more than in ECP. They’ve reduced the labour rate to £50ph + vat, as a goodwill gesture, despite them arguing that it was advertised in their office that they were increasing the cost on 1st May. ...
