Re: MOT Fail....
Good thinking Shoppinit. Few days ago I looked general drawing of central valve and I'm quite sure it's possible to fix them. In near future I'm planning to buy used one from ebay to start looking what's needed to renew one of these valves. I have little noise from passenger side rear strut, but the...

Re: Hunting idle when AC on
So I have fixed non working AC fan and also replaced low valued MAF and MAF seals, but problem still exists. I have figured out how problems starts: I start AC with 1 stick and there is no rpm fluctuation. I can move up to 4 sticks and then rpm's start moving. Also at this time I can see in measured...

Re: Alternative for OEM MAF seals
Actually these seals can last more then 200C, it's way more we will ever need in that place.
Part number is HB 18703125-375, always make sure that energizer O-ring is inside the lip.

Alternative for OEM MAF seals
Hi Guys, I have been suspecting that my MAF seals are leaking little bit as MAF goes in too easily and after getting new OEM maf reading still are too low (~1.5g/l). So I started looking for other options as OEM 1 seal cost in Australia 122 AUD /~100 USD and I won't buy that. My work involves high p...

Re: Hunting idle when AC on
Yes I zero'd them before I started the log, good to know. I have done two more log's.
One just normal run and other with WOT.

Re: Hunting idle when AC on
I have wired 280mm fan directly to battery and it's not working. So far has been offered $1000 to get new fan there. I also have done one log and maybe someone can look this and comment. It's simple drive nothing on WOT as in streets can't really do that. As far i understand myself fuel trim stays 0...

Re: Hunting idle when AC on
Hi Chunky79, revs in first 3 versions sit at little under 800rpm When I start AC and gear is in D rpms start jumping between 600 and 800. I noticed that I don't have this problem when engine is cold. Is there possibility to check vac leaks with vac pump or smoke test? I know that MAF's are installed...

Re: Hunting idle when AC on
So I think I have found my hunting idle problem when AC is working. Strange that AC works good. I received my Ross tech cable and did fault scan test which came back with radiator fan control unit 2 -J671- failure. I did also engine out put test where fan 1 what cools engine starts working, but fan ...

Re: Hunting idle when AC on
Currently temperature is around 30, so it's not hot. AC works actually really well, cools down cabin quickly without a problem. I use AC when i do longer trips as during driving there is no problem with rpm's. When coming to stop then I can see how rpm's slowly (small steps) start pumping up and dow...

Hunting idle when AC on
Hi Guys, Quite irritating problem, when I start the car, activate AC and pull gear to D then rpm's start hunting by 100-200 rpm's. As soon I switch AC off rpm's stay at ~800 rpm, I'm still on D with gear. If i have AC on and gear is in P then rpm's are normal (800) and not hunting. Does anyone know ...

Hi Audi people, I bought this car from Melbourne (Australia) week ago. It's my first Audi, but as I'm from Europe then I'm quite familiar with them. Currently car is in Perth (Australia). I was on the market for something special and options were M5, E55 or RS6. M5 and E55 were little bit too boring...
