Nick,
After the injector and carbon clean.
I had the transmission rebuilt around 18 months ago, had them check it, oil looks good, no fault codes. Leaning toward something not connected correctly after the clean.

Early shift between 1st and 2nd
Greetings from Australia, WOT, trans shifts at aprox 5000 rpm rather than redline. Just had injectors ultrasonically cleaned and inlet ports de-carbonised. Mapped, BMC filters and sec cat delete, all a couple of years ago. 660hp at wheels. Transmission map is std. Could the transmission map be upshi...

Re: Rear Diff bearings
To close out this thread. The diff carrier, tapered roller bearings are made by SKF in Brazil. The numbers on the shell and cone cannot be sourced through SKF or cross referenced to another brand. I ended up finding a low KM diff and installing it. Another good reason to replace the diff oil regularly.

Rear Diff bearings
Hi All, I had a slight whine in the diff between 80-70KPH on decel. The diff was removed and disassembled by my transmission guy. He found one of the carrier bearings had lost its hard face off the tapered roller bearings. He and i have found replacement bearings impossible to purchase. Audi claim t...

Re: Buying an RS6 in Australia
Alex, I have a RS6, C6 in Melbourne. Whilst i don't have it for sale, i have been toying with the idea of getting a C7. Monza Silver, all the usual features including Ceramics. Has had the secondary Cats deleted and mapped to a conservative 700HP. OIl pump seal has been replaced and a full size spar...

Front brake Pads Ceramic discs
Hi All, After 140,000 km on the original pads, the brake pad warning light has come on. Can someone point me in the direction of where to find currently at a reasonable price? Stock seams to be a problem. Typically, how many miles do i have, under gentle driving before the backing plate hits the disc?

Re: Custom or off the Shelf Exhaust?
I had my local exhaust guy remove the secondary Cat's, resonators and x pipe and replace with flanged pipes for swap back if required when selling. Cost was AUS$600. Coupled with an APR map and BMC air filters it makes 405 AWKW on 98RON, happy days and sounds great, but a bit loud on cold start and ...

Thanks Trent. If I hadn't purchased it with the APR tune, I would have got you to do it.

I have the same problem. Has anyone tried to fit a resistor of the same resistance value as the working electric motor, across the power wires?

Melboure Australia
Hi All, Few questions; I have the oil leak from the dry sump pump and have been quoted AUS$5.5K to repair. Any recommendations for mechanics in Melbourne Australia? The ceramic brakes sometimes make a moaning sound under light application at speeds below 20 KPH, performance not affected, any ideas? ...

Globe warning light
Hopefully a simple question.
I have an intermittent globe warning (RHS Reverse light) coming on, the globe is not blown but I have replaced it anyway, any suggestions?

Hi All, I have recently purchased a Silver 09, 30,000KM Avant with a APR stage 1 map and ceramics, The car is Bonkers in the power department. Thank God for car companies like Audi for producing such tuneable, irresponsible cars. Couple of questions; The brakes are fantastic but if they are wet or c...
