Re: Driving in Europe & the tech...

Same as doodlebug. I've driven in France a few times now with no issues. I usually switch the headlights in the MMI.

Re: Firing Order

Haven't managed to get hold of the B8 service guide, someone may have posted it in the B8 forum though. I have got the B7 one though, I'm more than sure this has already been posted in the B7 forum.

Re: New Boots...What a Difference!

I didn't know about the foam insert until the tyre came off due to the screw in it. The set I've just had to put on the front are contisport contact without the conti silent, the foam crap. The car feels a lot different with them as explained in my other post. Still wont be anywhere near as good as...

Re: Firing Order

Hi Andy

I've attached the self study guide for the 4.o v8. on page 62 it gives the firing order in 8 cylinder mode as 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2. have a look and double check it though.

it gives some good info regarding the engine.

Re: New Boots...What a Difference!

Just had to swap both front tyres in a bit of a hurry due to a screw in one of them and the wear being to great to just go with one tyre. Had to stay with the conti sport contacts which came with the car as that's all I could get a short notice. But I ended up with tyres without the foam noise cance...

Re: Arrived today...

There is a thread about this, just had a quick look but couldn't find it to post a link. I'm on air with the conti's. In a straight line and overtaking I've not experienced the back end wanting to step out. when pushing it though through some twisty bits it definitely wants to step out. I have the c...

it takes up any slack in the seat belt as you are moving away. feels like a slight pull on the belt to ensure it is positioned snug to the chest and lap.

Re: Blasphemy

Can a towbar actually be fitted with a sports exhaust option even though the configurator says no? I'd like to try this, not sure about the 174mph limiter though....... I have a tow bar fitted and sports exhaust. I think the only things that prevent the tow bar being spec'd is if you select the car...

Re: Spring detail

Cheers for the heads up Ross, I'll bear it in mind when purchasing. I've looked at a few different lifts, both new and second hand and the one you have seems to tick all the boxes. I'll see if I can borrow a telehandler for delivery, but it would rely on having a confirmed date for the delivery to a...

Paintwork looks awesome Ross. I'm pretty jealous. :notworthy: My C7 looks like its done a stage of a rally at the minute, desperate to give it a good detail. I'm just putting the roof on my new garage this week and was contemplating a lift to put in it. the one you have looks spot on. Cheers for the...
