Re: RS6 C5 Avant
Yep, sorry guys, I've been rather busy with everything at the moment. The car ended up going to webuyanycar for a fair bit less than what I advertised it at, as I just decided I didn't have the time for selling it myself. Real shame as even the buyer said I should easily be able to sell it private f...

Re: Suspension bushes and bearings (general refresh)
i thought I found a proper power flex poly bush to replace the lower rear bushes on the front control arms. Turns out I didn't. Does anybody know where you can get them separately? I think I read a post on here somewhere that the bolt won't come out unless the subframe is dropped an inch or two. Is ...

Re: Suspension bushes and bearings (general refresh)
Thought out doing that, but then there is the downtime involved, so it easier just to bang new bushes in the arms.

Re: Suspension bushes and bearings (general refresh)
I'll possible be changing my lower arm bushings to Poly ones. I bought a complete set of Meyle HD arms for my RS6 just over a year ago and I've done about 6000 miles and the lower bushes have began to crack. I'm still toying with the idea of putting Genuine Audi arms on and seeing how long they last...

Re: What does this mean?
Thanks! I've got DS2500s on the car so it will hopefully just be a dodgy connection where it was bridged.

This has been coming up randomly while I've been driving for the last few days. Can anybody tell me what it means?

Exhaust heat shields
Has anybody had any issues with loose heat shields around the exhausts? The 4 sections over the rear backboxes have perished where the nut/washer goes through. I've tried using a larger washer to hold them together, but the studs have lost their threads due to the rust. Has anybody got any work arou...

Re: Wanted: Hotchkis Arbs for c5 RS6
Why have Unit 20 stopped them? I was going to get a set in the near future, looks like it will have to be H&R instead. Is there any noticeable difference between the two? I suppose anything is an improvement over standard bars.

Re: Aftermarket Rear Calipers
I've got TRW rear calipers on mine from ECP. They are fine. I believe they are just refurbished genuine calipers, just with the Audi logo ground off. Just make sure you get the ones for the RS6 with the larger sized piston

Re: Dead as a door nail
Yep. Probably a good idea to re-solder the joins in the loom (with the rubber bullets on) mine looked fine but caused me all sorts of problems until I stripped them back and soldered the joints again. Seriously, even if they do look fine. Just do them again!
