RS4 Cabriolet - £12,000
I've had the RS4 for 6 years since July 2014. Its a great car, lots of fun to drive, excellent in the summer with the roof down. I've always kept it garaged, and as its our 2nd car it rarely goes out in the rain. Change of circumstances (2 young kids, lockdown, no need to drive anywhere) has made me...

Re: Cabriolet roof specialists?
Thanks Borry, I also found I can get the motor refurb for £75 if I take it out myself (doesn't look too difficult). Thanks P, thats exactly what I was looking for a recommendation :) . I found VAGPRO and had emailed them before posting this up. am waiting to hear from them. but maybe I'll make the c...

Cabriolet roof specialists?
Hi all, Happy New Year. Has anyone got recommendations for cabriolet roof specialists? Preferably based around Essex but am willing to travel. I get an issue sometimes that the roof needs a little extra push to open. It does the initial unlock from the top of the screen, rises half an inch then stop...

Convertible gas struts
I've been having a problem on and off with my hood over the past year or so. But at the weekend it finally gave up. So whilst doing a manual reset I noticed that one of these small gas struts has major leaked, the other side is showing signs of going too. Its left a real stick mess on the hood cover...

Re: how do i charge the battery
Does anyone know what the highlighted tube is? it comes out of the red/orange grommet on the right of the battery/sparewheel! well. but isn't connected to anything, couldn't really tell if the end of it had been snapped off of something.

Re: how do i charge the battery
So I fitted the Duracell 019 last night, its slightly smaller than the OEM varga battery, so the clamp hasn't 'clamped' properly, going to need to sort that out. The battery is slightly lighter though which is nice. In case anyone else reads this and are doing the same, its a good idea to know how t...

Re: how do i charge the battery
they seem to range from about £140 for a LION 019 to £330 for a Bosch. although am very tempted by the RAC battery at £166 which includes home fitting! but what sort of quality is that going to be. although now I have found a duracall advanged 019 for £160. just need to decide between 019 and 020 I ...

Re: how do i charge the battery
ah yes the tubular thing, I did wonder if that would be a good point. I'll do that.
And I guess I there is the boot, but then theres that big warning cover telling you to use the under bonnet connectors.
Cheers guys.

Re: how do i charge the battery
Sorry to drag up an old post.
Have seen people say in two posts to just connect the negative to any metal part. Really? Just any? What have people been connecting too? It freaks me out that there doesn't seem to be a negative connection under the bonnet.
