Im not too sure on that to be honest. Main cats are in so emissions wont be an issue but i m not aware of them having to be in place even if it passes emissions.

I have removed my secondary cats and welded 2 straight through sections in place. there are no joints around the second cats so they have to be cut out and new pipes welded in.
