Just back from a week away...Audi Technical have said they do not provide alternative settings for the geo etc like Porsche and Nissan do...master tech has advised to go aftermarket. Have an hour in an m4 on Saturday and will then decide...walked up to rs4 today after a week away and my it's a beauty!

In your map it is corner before stoney cross after travel lodge...will check pressures and good point about gearbox location...However gearbox in the diesel a4 in same place...thinking it a pressure / geo issue

Have had 3 x GTR's and two x 911 turbos and 1 x evo over many years so get how to drive a 4wd car and how to set up for corner...based on the first 1500 miles I think the Quattro system is inferior to those in the gtr and porsche...perhaps because they are sport cars. ..However the corner i benchma...

Gtr and 911 have at least 10% of power going to front wheels at any time...you could feel in both the power feed into the front to pull the front end in tight. The corner i was describing is different it is just off junction 1 of m27 as it becomes a31...national speed limit dual carriageway...corner...

Must be something wrong if the RS under steers more than the A4. Either that it you are far too hot into the corners. There is one corner on A31 coming through New Forest which to be shows if a car handles well...nothing extreme but a fast left hander. ..so coming through at same speed in the rs4 a...

M4 I drove felt incredible in the corners compared to my old RS but as you say it's going to be a year before they're at sensible money.

Fair point...I think our 2012 2 litre tdi a4 black edition understeered less!

A big plus of the rs4 is that the missus approves and drives it quite happily...just needs better turn in and then we both happy! Your missus said it needs better turn in?
