Re: Scorpion versus Milltek

I think you just discounted the two best sounding systems available for the RS5.

That probably makes sense

I'm sure awesome are adding some mark up on the price so you could get both for just over £100. Just amazes me how much more the coolant cap is!

Re: Carbon Temptation....

For some reason the R8 coolant cap comes in at an eye watering price, the Porsche one matches nicely but is a fraction of the price.

Re: Carbon Temptation....

R8 oil cap is a nice touch too, are you tempted by the matching coolant cap from Porsche?

Congratulations on the new car.

With regards to the suspension, do you think the new car sits lower on the standard sports suspension? I think the DRC equipped cars look a little higher in ride height.

Re: DRC Knocking

Oh sh*t, sorry to here that, you're not having much luck with that one. Maybe take it to a priest and get the demon exercised out of it before handing it to Audi.

Great news on Audi taking it back in again tough, a light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: DRC Knocking

I don't quite understand the "cut them some slack" comment? Regardless if the OP was the first or second owner, Audi should in theory be able to rectify problems with their own cars. Not having the equipment to correctly service a vehicle which is still being manufactured is not an excuse. Im an eng...

Re: DRC Knocking

Here's an idea to Run by Audi, if they can't rectify the problem and the car is still knocking then how about they remove the DRC altogether from the vehicle and you come to some sort of deal on a KW system, you retain the adjustable settings the DRC offers, you gain a far superior damper and spring...

Re: DRC Knocking

Ok well ride height difference could well be down to a broken spring, depending on where the spring coil snaps would depend on the drop in ride height. A cracked rear arm!! Wow, have you been doing some off roading? Some MOT test centres have the wobble plates that bounce the suspension to look for ...

Re: DRC Knocking

Excuse me for being a bit simple but how did they diagnose a damaged spring?

Springs can break, usually resulting in a drop in ride height and a VERY noticeable look to it when the car is jacked up.

Did they replace the upper arms when they replaced the damper and wishbone?

Re: Lowering RS5 - advice welcome!

DRC knocking? Is this something I should do a quick search of the forum for as I've not heard of it? As for the oil lines and dampers, so long as the oil lines aren't disconnected then there should be no issue with topping up or regassing. I'm not sure if they are flexible lines running from the dam...

Re: Sepang Blue or Suzuka grey?

I'm also torn between these two colours but finally opted for the Sepang with black optics and titanium wheels.

I do still love the Suzuka but I think the blue just wins......just!

Re: Lowering RS5 - advice welcome!

So what was the solution to this, did they need to do anything with the dampers and the oil or just remove them without disconnecting the oil lines that run from damper to damper? I ask as I'm ordering a set of the H&R OE springs for my RS which comes with the sports pack so sports suspension which ...

Re: Decisions

I test drove two RS5s one with and one without the sports exhaust, I thought there is a marked difference between the two. Switch to dynamic mode in an RS without the sports option and there is a slight increase in noise, only really volume that seems to increase. With the sorts exhaust equipped RS ...
