Re: show us your aftermarket wheels
So plasti dipped the rims and am ecstatic with the look, so much better. The dip itself, my first go, it was only OK to be honest, but will do for now. Intention is to (one day) strip them back properly and re-finish in matte black. https://i.ibb.co/mbsGMMR/20220120-190253.jpg https://i.ibb.co/bKwTv...

Re: show us your aftermarket wheels
Put these on the car over the weekend and to be honest, the colour is just all wrong for it. Bit of history, I've had these sitting in my garage for 5 years waiting to be refurbished which I finally got around to. I bought them from another bloke who had his Avant wrapped in dark grey matte, so the ...

Re: Avant boot gas strut issue
So finally got around to fixing the boot strut on the weekend. In the end, was fairly straight-forward. Hopefully it does the job. First thing we did was poke some wires in the existing holes in the pillar to ensure that there was indeed a cavity inside. Once we had worked this out, we drilled aroun...

Nice work mate, sounds similar to what I am experiencing.
Can I ask where you got the starter motor from?

Avant boot gas strut issue
Hi All In a bit of a pickle with my right hand side gas strut mount in the boot. Over time it was getting looser and looser until recently I attempted a fix using a Plusnut which did not work as the force of the strut has again ripped it away. https://i.ibb.co/60JBWmd/boot2.jpg So now, I am wonderin...

Wingback protection for back of seats?
Just wondering what you guys use on the back of the wingbacks for protection against the kids in the back? I've got a couple of the black car seat organiser things that have straps that go around the front of the seat. They look pretty bad and therefore wondered if there was something nicer to apply...

Re: Auto Lights Malfunction - any ideas?
I just had a light bulb moment whilst googling. I was talking about the rain sensor when i mentioned the windscreen change. The headlight sensor is down the bottom of window in the middle isn't it. I think my issue is the rain sensor. I just tried the lights in the shed, and when set to auto i hear ...

Re: Auto Lights Malfunction - any ideas?
Has anybody had the auto light malfunction warning pop up before? Not sure what's caused it. Symptoms: - Only happens when light switch is on "AUTO" - High beam only works on the left side when the low beams are on, however both high beams work when using flash to pass. - Warning goes away when on ...

Re: O2 Sensors - Anyone having trouble with them?
My mechanic said that it came in a Bosch box and seemed legit. Nah not catless, only thing done is I had the center resonator removed last december.

O2 Sensors - Anyone having trouble with them?
Hi All So I have got the CEL light on again this time with fault P0036 - Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2. I had this sensor replaced in December 2019, that was throwing the P0041 fault. My mechanic is following up with supplier. I've heard that there are a lot of dodgy parts around these days...

Re: Pioneer headunit
Link isn't working, what unit are you looking at? I recently installed a Pioneer DMH-Z5350BT into my RS4 which would be well under 1000 pounds (I am from Australia). Only one regret I have is that given we have no steering wheel controls, I wish I had of got a head unit that has either a volume dial...

Re: Help - Installed new Pioneer head unit, no sound on phone calls
Got it sorted, originally i thought it was Standard vs Network mode so did a factory reset and changed to Network. Phone started working but then there was no music through the front speakers. Then realised I had the FR and FL RCA's plugged into the wrong ones on the back. Plugged in correctly and a...
