I had mine down a few months back and kept the old one to try and repair, ive not had chance to nip to the hydraulics place to get a new weld nipple, but my fabricator reckons he can cut the old one off and weld a new one back on

I had to have the valves ripped out recently as the cheap ally caps had welded themselves to the valve stems, whether this is just endemic to the tps monitoring valves I don't know

i did think it looked like a clean break and therefore a bad casting (casting by nature introduces air into molten metal if done badly)

I would of said an abnormal load across it would cause the failure, accentuated by missing chunk which probably did cause a stress fracture

not that I know anything about importing to the USA, but is he saying to pass the EPA he will need to test the complete emissions system or has to add something to the car to monitor/control it? the SAI faults will need fixing for him to do this I presume? OBD2 is the connection for vag-com and the ...

I think one is a lift pump and one is the feed pump if you will

RS6 has 2 pumps no?
