I have it - it works great for me providing you adjust it . It is part of the convenience pack (seat memory) and not part of the folding/dimming option only.
Not sure if you can vag com it; i doubt it as I think it uses the memory ability .

Same here - Loved my B7 but the B8 for me is a more useable everyday car plus the fun!.
