As an update...

Engine Management light went off itself after about 12 miles and a turn off and on of the ignition.

Note to self: Get the car driven more whilst i'm away to prevent this issue.

Being unsure what's causing your CEL, I will offer this observation: most EDU error codes I've seen will keep the CEL lit until you fix the underlying issue and clear the code in the ECU.
