Re: Secondary Air Injection System Error - Bank 2, how to fix ?

I am keeping the car OE as much as possible, so I don't think that works.

Also I cannot pass MOT where I live with those modifications.

Secondary Air Injection System Error - Bank 2, how to fix ?

Hi there, I have an intermittent SAI Error on Bank 2, which Audi mechanics insisted to take the engine out to replace the pump and the hoses and to clean out the exhaust manifold. This seems a bit excessive given they have only looked at the error code. My quesiton is, if the pump or hoses are fault...

Re: Control Arms

I think the rs4 parts are no different to the a4 parts. And anyone still on their original arms must have a car that handles like jelly. This is something I'd be looking for on a 10 year old rs4. The minute I had mine change, it's incredible with the steering feedback but also makes it so stiff it'...

Re: RNS-E AMI Upgrade

Finally ordered the 8P0 AMI and the shop is shipping next week.

Just wondering if anyone is keeping both CD stack and the AMI in the glove box, or just put the AMI there ?

With the CD stacker out, do I need to shield the CD stacker connector to avoid it picking up interference ?

HEL or Goodridge brake hoses ?

The brake pedal is a bit mushy and since the car is about 10 yrs old I figure it's time to fit some braided hoses to keep the brakes going.

Has anyone fitted either brands and what's your feedback on them ?

Re: Intake manifold and heat resistant paint.

Yes I wonder if the brake caliper clear coat will also work on the carbon fibre engine cover since mine are looking like corn flakes... planning to buy a new set but need to make sure it can be protected or otherwise it might be better without a cover !!...

Re: Electrical issues.

So I've been having a couple of small electrical issues someone might be able to help me with. I've just started looking at the cooling fans staying on which managed to drain the battery while I had the car at the shop last week. That's ok I'm just looking into it now so don't have any questions ye...

Re: Service dilemma

I go between specialists and Audi at alternate intervals, that way i have the stamp at reasonable intervals and have the attention from both aspects. Also some of the heavy lifting work in the engine or suspension I am going back to the dealer because they offer the warranty and I have claimed DRC s...

I had the same noise observed and it turned out to be the control arms bushing cracked and needed replacement.

Re: Bluetooth - retrofit. Whine through speakers.

ground the wiring to the chasis. you need to attach an extra wire of the same gauge to do the grounding. don't ground to the mounting bracket of the head unit unless you test and it is actually connected to the chasis, sometimes it could be just a piece of metal between plastics, or a factory ground...

Re: Bluetooth - retrofit. Whine through speakers.

I have the kauftec fiscon module, the OE one won't work as aftermarket fitting I believe the wiring harness is not compatible. The OE one is supposed to be hidden under the passenger's seat. You need to find the head unit's ground and put an extra grounding to the metal part of the chasis. Running t...

Re: Bluetooth - retrofit. Whine through speakers.

I have the same issue before and it annoyed me so much I have to take it out. I think the wiring needs additional shielding as the centre console has a lot of interference. Good if you can add extra earthing wires.

Re: Rear aero wiper conversion

Ok I finally managed to have time to do this quick mod which takes a few minutes. I think the key is to get the pulley extractor, as many have suggestions on line to take the wiper out stress free and cleanly. I tried to just yank it out before for a good hour and it didn't move a bit. Went to the h...

Re: Battery question

Thanks. Is it ok if the Amp Hours is a bit less ? From what is available here in Hong Kong, the AMGs available are either 105 or 95 Ah. Otherwise I have to go back to the traditional ones for 110Ah.
