Re: B7 RS4 2007 Daytona Grey Avant - £17900
Latest photo's uploaded to the photo bucket link after a thorough valet and wax. I have updated the price to reflect that there several Avants for sale in he wider market place around this mileage and I know the comfort seats are not so popular (although essential for those like me that are of a wid...

Re: Are these discs oem?
Europarts seemed to be the main online supplier for TRW pads when I was looking at discs and pads a few months ago and is likely that pads have been purchased from them. If the discs where also bought from them at the same time then the good news is that the discs are OEM, euro parts have discounts ...

Re: On Car Brake Disc Skim - a recommendation
For me, the main benefit was that I didn't need the car off the road as it could be done as a while you wait service. If you read the web site for the company that supplies the lathe http://www.procuteurope.eu then you will see there arguments of skimming on car vs off. The main one is that any prob...

Hutfields of Botley, I can highly recommend for getting the discs skimmed on car. Takes about an hour so can be done while you wait but they where very busy so is better if you can leave the car with them.

On Car Brake Disc Skim - a recommendation
I understand not a universally agreed on service in this forum, however when I started to get judder when braking (B7 RS4), particularly noticeable from 50 down to 20 and getting worse I decide to look into having the front discs skimmed. (My front discs having done <15k miles and only half through ...

Insurance -Just got surprisingly low quote
I know insurance is so dependant on individual circumstances but even taking into account I am an insurer's safe bet:- Old(but not too old) Git, Low annual mileage <6kpa, relatively low cost postcode, parked on drive, full no claims, no mods, etc etc Churchill have just quoted me £161 for my B7 avan...

Re: 25% off OE discs at eurocarparts!!..
Anyone had any experience of the TRW pads for the front? - They seem to be OEM parts for some VAG models but not I assume for the RS4. With the 30% discount code gives a price of £110 for the full front set. The going rate for Audi supplied front pads seems to be around £260. Is this a case of getti...

Re: Auxiliary Radiators
Both mine have started to weep - Audi Basingstoke have quoted me £695 for both all inc which is not bad really given the retails cost of the parts. Interestingly my local VAG independent quoted slightly higher.

Re: Alloy Refurbishment / repairs
Agreed - I have used them a few times now and been very pleased with the results, they have a good reputation in the local area and there has been some pretty expensive metal at their unit when I have been. There is often a lead-time of a week or more if you need to leave the car with them due to li...

DRC and Camberley Audi
Had the car for a little over a year and 10k trouble free miles, an unmodified 07 Daytona Avant with 80k and the dreaded DRC failure has finally happened. A little research and thanks to this forum, I went to Rob and Camberley Audi, (in preference to my local main dealer in Basingstoke where I last ...
