Re: TD1 code

I guess he is speaking about Kess and other tuning platforms that have released a CVN fix. Supposed to hide the map changes. When they plug in their diagnostics it will look stock. Obviously if they look for checksum changes this will still flag the map up I guess?? I dont really keep up with mappi...

Re: TD1 code

So if I want to use this tool I have to buy it... so you are SELLING something. Bit of a pointless tool. You'd need to use it everytime the car went into a Stealer, then put your remap back on after the car comes back. 😂jesus. Do you realy think that regular oil service or prakepads service they ”f...

Re: RS6 C6 Modifications

You can get a handheld device called a Frieling Racing i flash OBD programmer. This allows you to read and then flash a modified gearbox map yourself.
I got mine from www.chiptuningshop.co.uk

Re: DRC - Fail

Would replacing the shock yourself, then transporting on a flatdeck to a workshop for the regass be an option?

Re: DIY Back Box Modification

I just did this mod yesterday. After removing the fibre glass packing material I wrapped the pipe with aluminium foil and then exhaust wrap. The sound is a lot deeper at idle and through the rev range. Its louder at cold start which is to be expected but not as bad as my old rs4 without cats and fre...

Re: DIY Back Box Modification

Thanks for the write up. Do you think wrapping the pipe will increase the noise level?

Re: My Carbon Buildup

You only need to remove the inlet manifold. It’s not that hard, just a few bolts at the back that are a bit fiddly and require a small ratchet tool. Also check the vac lines and one way valve under the manifold for any damage/leaks. Having a vac leak will rob you of a lot more power then carbon buil...

Re: Piggie Pipes (...what is this?????)

The RS4 uses a metal cat in the pre cat. So you won't find the normal ceramic honey comb material.
To remove I used a drill to help break it up and then pulled out in bits.

Re: B5 Spring Perch Mod (additional info required please)

I fitted some a few months ago. I re-used the rubber isolators. You will have to trim the 2 rubber tabs at the back so it sits as flat as possible in the perch. You pretty much need to cut those tabs off. Spring still locates fine and won’t move when spring is fitted. For the first one it’s just a c...

Do you think there would be any benefit going from the milltek to a 2.5”?

3" Exhaust

I have a catless (cats replaced with 2.5” high flow resonators) milltek with pigges and am getting the H section changed to an X section. While I was at the exhaust shop I asked about changing to a 2.75” pipe size but we don’t get that size over here so it would be either 2.5” or 3”. I don’t see the...
