Its possible that the cables/wiring has oxidised( don't know if that's the correct word to describe it) . But where the water and damp got into the wiring it corrodes the wire and any connections within the looms running to the CCM. In your case you had a dehumidifier in there, but did it manage to...

maybe yes, but iv had the carpet out for five weeks with a dehumidifier in there for about two weeks it was pretty much bone dry when everything was put back together, and everything was working when i tested before the drive home!

40 amp fuse on top of the ecu?

so whilst i was trying to find out why the lecci windows was not werking after i had replaced the comfort control module i found a big fuse on top of the ecu that had blown!
does anybody know what this is for as i had not noticed that something was not working(other than the windows)! :audibash:

finally got the 6 back on the road today, all dried out leak tested new ccm fitted everything werking other than the remote central locking! couldn't wait for the drive home, all was going great i was falling back in love with it again, so i needed to stop at the shops locked it up(with the key)' ca...

Plugged in the ccm and it's not talking to vag com and nothing happening. Could it be some fuses as well ? It did go with quite a bang the other day!! any news did you get it working? i finally got round to ordering mine and it came friday, i only paid £196+vat from tps hopefully get it fitted next...

i removed the passenger seat today and im glad i did, there is quite alot of water under the carpet(not that it moves much without the rear seat out) its gonna take quite a while to get it all dried out, the foam under the carpet is very wet and theres no way i'll be putting the new ccm in until its...

nah <beep> that! baked plenty of pressurised <beep> and never had anything go bang, aerosols, air con units etc, gas struts sometimes break they're seals but only recall that happening once, 80 degrees c in a spraybooth is pretty hot but not that hot if ya know what i mean, the air in the booth is h...

by the way i dont know of any bodyshop that would remove and refill the aircon before and after bake as its not economically viable, bodyshops aint making fat stacks yo!

apologies for bringing this back from the dead but thought it was worth a mention, nope i dont work with aircon but do run the workshop in a bodyshop and didnt want anybody to worry about aircon being baked as i really feel it isnt an problem!
