Re: Suspension recommendations.

Hmm, I'm not so sure about the job now then. It would be axle stands and I don't have compressors and clamps at hand. It'd probably end up taking twice the time it took you so would end up taking a month because I don't have a load of spare time these days.

Re: Suspension recommendations.

Is it a nice DIY job or a pain in the arse? I fancy giving it a go if it's not an absolute nightmare. I gutted my pre cats and wouldn't be a job I'd ever do again. The access is an absolute nightmare for one... If it's not so bad fitting the coilovers, are there any tools that are a must other than ...

Re: Suspension recommendations.

Thanks for the replies, that's pretty much put to bed any doubts because tbh, I was just intending on rolling into audi and leaving them the keys.

B14's it will be :)

Re: Suspension recommendations.

I bought the car 4 year ago and it had been spot on in the 3 years I owned it. I sold it a year ago to a mate and just bought it back cheap but it's knocking its arse off. It's looking like it needs new disks and pads, 4 new tires and 2 alloys repaired. Isn't it amazing how fast someone can just ab...

Suspension recommendations.

Well I think the DRC is shot, the cars knocking like mad. I've read quite a few mixed opinions about the DRC and changing to coilovers. Here I am in that position and don't know where to start. Do I take the car to audi and have them sort it for me or look for some coilovers? If I get coilovers, I'd...

Launching.

Hi guys. Whats the best way to launch the R8 in a way that's not too aggressive? I'm going to santa pod in April and want to do a few runs but dont want to go crazy. The car spins up even with esp on so is it still best to turn off and are suspension settings likely to make any real difference? Chee...

Re: Rule 1; A Trilogy of RSs

I love my 4 also but have really been considering letting go. My mate is after it and I'm tempted. He can't pay outright for it but it's someone I know won't let me down. I've just got too many lying around and need to be realistic. Even though the b7 has quite a bit going on, it just feels a lot mo...

For the money, you wont beat an evo. 400/400 evo would make easy work out of a stripped c5.

Re: New buyer advice

It's sometimes a lottery tbh mate. You can do all of the checks you like, ppi checks and the thing could blow up the following week. Buying from a dealer at least you may get some kind of warranty with it and private, you can usually tell when you look closely if it's the kind of car that's been a c...
