In my defence, my old C6 RS6 had digital read out so I just assumed a C7 would have at least the same or better.
Second, the numbers are quite small.
That said its a "farmer Giles edition (tm)". (AllRoad)
No I am not on drugs. LOL.
Thanks for the help though - seems we got the bottom of it.

Re: Couple of C7 questions...
I have tried but failed to see any temps anywhere.
There is no display on the actual AC control other than the numbers on the nobs.
If I move the nob from say 18 to 22 nothing comes up on the MMI.

Re: Couple of C7 questions...
Thanks guys. Looks like I have keyless start then but not doors... seems a bit pointless LOL.
Anyway, will check the HVAC but pretty sure no temps show up anywhere.

Couple of C7 questions...
I had a C6 RS6 for a couple of years. Long story short I am now in a C7 (non RS). I have a few questions hopefully you guys can help me with: Keyless. It works for ignition on and starting but does not seem to open the doors you have to press the fob - is that correct? HVAC controls are rotary knobs...

Re: Intermittent Oil Sensor Warning
Also had this done. Took several days as the headlight brackets are fragile and they broke one which is not a stock item so had to wait for part from Germany.
It was done under warranty but pretty sure total invoice was c.£600-£700 ish so your price is pretty good to say the least.

Re: Rs6 close calls ( vs )
Gearing plays a part as does transmission loss. The C6 will also lose about 1/2 a car length on a twin clutch car on upshifts. The worst part of it is when someone gets on the gas a second or so before you, then you really have to play the long game and it will be 100-130mph before you start to catc...

My 09 car (Avant) had 3G MMI. Was the only one I could find at the time.

Re: Spark plugs
I have worked on a lot of cars and built several kit cars and the back 2 banks are a royal PITA. The main issue is if you don't drop the engine down then you have to put a lot of pressure on the pipe work at the back of the block and its very easy to break stuff that's had a couple of thousand heat ...

Re: Dim rear lights
They all fail eventually. My 09/10 car had the same issue on one side, and after about 6 months the other side went too.
I think the cluster is c.£60-£80 from memory actually not that expensive for audi given they are LED!

Re: Car dead
My daily commute is 3 miles. When I had an RS6 I was having battery problems all the time. In the end I invested in 3 things. 1) VCDS 2) New battery 3) CTek Basically once the batter drops below safe limit it will stick at that level even if you leave it on charge forever. You have to use VCDS to cl...

Re: Launching.
If the track is not too green and its warm you should get plenty of traction. Just watch out early on or if its cold. Might be worth dropping a few PSI out too.

Sad days... my RS6 has gone. 2 and a bit years and a lot of fun but its time to move on.
I have not replaced it yet so I am going to take my time on its replacement.
Thanks for all your help guys - I will stick around as I may get another RS just not decided yet.

Re: Panel Filters
Also on ITG. Car sounds a tiny bit louder from induction under load and you can just about hear the boost being dumped if you snap off the throttle in 3rd where as I could not hear that with the old filters.
