Re: Steering wheel badge / emblem

I fitted a new one of these (from ebay as shown) to my RS4 when I got it. I simply removed the lugs from the back of the badge with a pair of nail scissors and sanded them flat, and then superglued the new emblem onto the scratched original one (which was knackered!). The new emblem sits slightly pr...

Re: Stealers and my brakes

When I had the 911 I was told at the 48k service that I needed new discs. The same ones got a clean bill of health from the same dealer at 96k.

Cheers bud.

Yeah I'll organise a fault code reader this weekend.

Missus has been tootling round in it for a few days. I reckon it just needs a good italian tune up.

Thanks all.

It's stayed off. It's had the manifold flaps done a couple of weeks back under warranty when it came on before.

Italian tune up this weekend, I think :-D

EPC light on again, no wait it's off again.......

Groan Wife has the car today - she calls me to say the EPC light is on. I call Audi Assist and they're sending someone tonight to check it out. Now she calls and the light's off. I wish it'd make its mind up! :audibash: What can cause the EPC light to come on and then go off of its own accord? I'd h...

Re: Tyres?

Yeah I know - the 275s were on the car when I bought it from Audi (and all four are brand new) - I'll probably go back to 255s when they need replacing.

They do look nice though!

Re: Tyres?

I've got four Goodyear Eagle F1 MOs on my Avant - 275/30 - car has Super Sport suspension. They are (to me) fantastic. Make sure you declare the chnage in size to your insurer though. Try Event Tyres - they come to you, and are very very well priced. I've used them for three BMWs, a 911 and an R32 b...

Re: Warning - Automatic Car Insurance Renewal

I agree they are <beep>. Buy cheap buy <beep>.

For a car like an RS4 I'd always go through a sensible broker who I can call and talk to when I want to discuss something.

"Never scrimp on tyres, insurance or johnnies" - as my Dad used to say.

Re: Warning - Automatic Car Insurance Renewal

I know it's not what you want to hear, but this is very clear really. You won't get anywhere with the FOS, don't waste your time mate. Please check the details in your documents carefully (including the Motor Renewal Confirmation) and if they're all okay, you don't have to do anything. We will autom...
