Re: 2008 S8 5.2 V10 - 36k miles
They're brilliant cars, and I'd recommend one for anybody coming out of an RS and wanting a bit more comfort, but also a car with pace and a saucy soundtrack. Unfortunately, it looks like I've found a buyer, so, very shortly, I'll be relegated to driving a Skoda Yeti. Diesel. How did life come to th...

Very true - petrol is just the cost getting that V10 noise. Worth every penny.

Re: 2008 S8 5.2 V10 - 36k miles
Hi all, Yep, you're correct, it's stand cruise control. I had a C5 RS6 previously which I loved, but switching to this certainly didn't feel like a downgrade (although the RS6 felt a lot faster than the stats suggest). The S8 is a great car for the cash (although it does have quite the drinking prob...

Sorry, to follow on, it is an Avant, and the water pump was done at the same time as the cambelt.
Cheers.

Re: Wanted RS6 C5 Avant
Hi all, I'm (reluctantly) putting my C5 RS6 up for sale shortly. the suspension has been replaced, cambelt changed, and gearbox serviced all in the last year by Unit20. I also have P-Zeros on all four wheels. Have just bought an A5 Sportback Diesel as the missus is using the car every day now and th...

Plus look-a-like?
Hi all, I want to remove all the shiny bits on the outside of my Avant (although I'll be leaving the wheels a loan). Does anyone know of a parts specialist that can do this for me (or at least can send me the parts)?
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: DRC issues and weeping shocker.
Ok, thanks for the opinions. I think I'll wait for the DRC to fail, and then replace it with the coils. Just seems like an unnecessary cost every year or so, and I'm certainly not a talented enough driver to notice the difference most likely. The car will be used mainly as a fast GT, and I only tend...

Re: DRC issues and weeping shocker.
This may seem like an obvious question, but, given the choice of either, would people on here prefer to stay with DRC (assuming it was working), or still switch out to Coilies?
