Re: High Mileage RS6 C7 advice
Don, Sounds rich as I sold mine for £48k on 85k miles, mine was rich too. Depends totally on how it's been looked after and who's had it. Mine's still reliable (I know the new owner) but I changed oil often and stayed away from Audi main. Unless you own it from new you'll never know the history, you...

Re: Exhaust choices - what are you running?
like the grumble and rasp but not the pops, does anyone else notice the change of ppitch from 3k rpm? really don't like it either, would prefer a more smooth rev band on light throttle.

Re: Performance spacers
I'll get rear facing low down photos of both cars this next few days, a mate has bought the blue car so I still see it (and miss the sepang)...

Re: Performance spacers
All are 285/30/21's, the blue car had Michelin Pilot Sports and I kept them as that, the new car (PE) came with Pirelli's although I must admit I'm not a huge fan.

Re: LITCHFIELD STAGE 2
I must have a crap local dealer then, they actually refused to look at an issue which was electrical due to "the unknown". I mean it's not like I've got neons hanging off it, it's a £90k car ffs

Re: Exhaust choices - what are you running?
Straight through from catless pipes to original backboxes (until I can find a suitable valved backbox set to retain the noise control). Sounds perfect and grunty, grumbly and not raspy. factory backboxes are 2.25" inlet so I'll only be changing them for flow reasons, but the car is quiet on idle wit...

Re: LITCHFIELD STAGE 2
Headlight controller I said.... and no warranty because the car is reampped, a different excuse to the body corrosion warranty event thought the corrosion is on a different part of the car to the "only" painted front bumper (stone chips). Apparntly we should drive around in 80k mile cars and not hav...

Re: LITCHFIELD STAGE 2
Headlight was just an exmaple. Another example as we're being pedantic now, the small bubbles of rust on both of my RS6 2015+ cars on the gloss black rails - Apparently because the first car ws TD1, *all* warranties are void, go away....

Re: Performance spacers
So, 2015 face lift with 15mm rear and tools in the boot, perfect! 2019-03-25 17.08.28.jpg 2017 PE with standard everything, no weight in boot, looks too small and I could swear the wheels look narrower as the rubber is stretch over the rim a little 2019-06-09 11.14.42.jpg M3 with 30mm wider ET, too ...

Re: Performance spacers
I must admit I loved the look of the spacers on my older C7 and really fancy doing it to the PE, but I'm always a bit worried about the extra stress of the long bolts and considering a larger ET wheel. I would imagine either way, if it failed and the wheel came off the insurance would be invalidated...

Re: Oil Service
They replaced multiple wheel bearings on my C6 cars, a known fault apparently and wasn't affected by non dealer history. If you use proper VAG parts, there is no reason to be treated any differently to a Audi full service history owner. Strange how the monopolies' commission don't ever seem to pick ...

Re: LITCHFIELD STAGE 2
My point is simply that they try to wash their hands of the whole car, just because of a remap. Seen / heard it many times. If the original ECU is returned to the car, there is no argument.

Re: Oil Service
In 7 RS car's ownership over 12+ years, I've always used Audi for the first service, then indie's for everything which didn't require VAG diags or plugging in. I always ask for the TPS reciepts for parts and consumables and keep them in the glovebox with the service hist. Not had a warranty claim de...

Re: Horrible braking issue, warped genuine discs in 500 miles
Just had front and rear discs fitted, 3rd complete set in 3 years, totalling 35k miles. Something MRC told me, they have found that the majority of the RS6’s with warped discs, had also referbed wheels, something about the back of wheel, where it sits on the hub of the disc, being painted. MRC said...
