Re: Help!
Is it best to speak to Audi uk or local dealer about swapping the coils under recall? Only my local Audi dealer isn't great.. They damaged my old car twice whilst it was in their 'care'..!

Help!
I was driving my B6 S4 today when I suddenly lost power, it feels like a misfire (as it's still has reasonable power) and I have a flashing amber engine management light.I hope it's just a failed coil pack- question is if I take it to a local garage will the diagnostics make it apparent that a certa...

HELP! The Worlds most complicated battery install
So my battery made it all the way through the winter [sometimes without me driving the car for 6 weeks] and it always fired the first time. The UK's in the middle of a 'heatwave' at the moment with temperatures of 30 degrees for the last two weeks and now my battery has decided to die....weird! Anyw...

Re: What do we reckon?
I had the middle box replaced with an H pipe today and I must say it seems like a really good mod. The car is only slightly louder but it sounds so much more angry when you boot it... I've had loads of aftermarket exhausts on many cars and I must admit I've never noticed massive power gains but I ca...

Re: What do we reckon?
With the middle box removed did you notice any loss or gain in power torque?

Re: What do we reckon?
Might go for that myself...I take it they had to remove the whole exhaust (cat-back)?
Have you noticed any gains or losses in power since?

Re: Happy / anti-catastrophic thread
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but on the start-up rattle - someone mentioned to me that there is a software update that cranks the engine over a couple of extra times before it starts, to allow the oil more time to reach the top of the engine. Is this right? If so, who does it? That...

Re: Happy / anti-catastrophic thread
Yup, that's what I heard, you don't need to proactively replace the chains or tensioners unless you have a permanent rattle..

Happy / anti-catastrophic thread
Just read this on another S4 forum and I think it's a great idea! I guess it's the nature of forums but there's a lot of doom and gloom and general horror stories around various catastrophic failures of our cars and I must admit being a new owner of an S4 a large part of me does wonder why I made th...

Re: Charging battery on the car?
Thanks, I was hoping you'd say something like that. Next question then- do you know of a decent trickle chargers that won't cause hundreds of pounds of damage?! I don't recognise any of the brands on EBay - they all look like Dixons own make to me!!
