Re: Lowering springs
I can lend you a couple of fat chicks that'll do the same thing They'll make your car stink of chips, but they're cheaper than four springs, and you never know, two bigger ladies might be an ambition of yours Thanks for the offer, but I hate fat birds Skinny arms and a nice pair of tits will do, if...

Re: The best fuel to use in a RS4 B7 - many opinions
They did in Nov 2012 when I was there. Several Porsches, a number of Ferraris, a couple of AMG Mercedes, a Maserati, Audi's, BMW's, Range Rovers, Jaguars. Nice showroom and a pretty good organisation to deal with. They agreed to have mine looked over by GIlders who, on their 20 point express check, ...

Re: New golf r vs rs4
Macca MP4 12C does the same. Kind of - I think the Mc is cleverer than that - I was led to believe these had a duct (or two ducts) from the engine bay into the back of the interior bulkhead with a flap to open / close to let more noise into the interior / make the interior quiet? Explains perhaps w...

Re: Review of my new car - F10 m5 vs B7 RS4
Thanks for the mpg figures - apparently the tech and electronics in rwd cars nowadays means that you wouldn't notice the fact that it's rwd in the wet. Chris Harris said this about Porsche I believe. Still would prefer the RS in the wet tbh though. having had a few AMG's in the past I would say it ...

Re: Is Audi RS going soft?
To me that looks like mutton dressed as lamb. Old man's car made to look like a boy racer. Just does not look right, colour, wheels, rear spoiler. Reminds me of a Monaro.

Re: Is Audi RS going soft?
If RS cars weren't exciting the Audi RS forum probably wouldn't exist! I haven't seen an XFR-S but someone in my village has an XF estate and it looks like a dead boring Jaguar, and a very long one at that. A sporty one could be at risk of looking like mutton dressed up as lamb! Leaving that aside, ...

Is Audi RS going soft?
I've been reading this week's emailed newsletter from Autocar. Apart from reporting on the Geneva motorshow, they've written about some first drives in some new models. One of them was the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake, which is Jaguar's high performance estate. Apparently, Jaguar reckon on 0-60 in 4.6 se...

Re: Insurance
As a lawyer, my advice is that you must tell them. Insurance contracts are uberrimae fidei, which is latin for contracts of the utmost good faith. in plain terms, that means that the onus is on the insured to tell their insurers about anything that might affect the insurers decision to continue to e...

Re: 38k mile service cost?
I do about 8,000 miles a year but have mine serviced annually. Last year's service was a 20,000 mile one which, with spark plugs, and me supplying the oil, came to £440.00. Just had it serviced again and, for a 10,000 mile service, with me supplying the oil, it came to £290. Both services carried ou...

New RS6 at Swindon Audi
Took my B7 into Swindon Audi this week for its annual service and to refurb all the wheels. From the service history seems that they had been refurbed before by Manchester or Shrewsbury Audi and they did a crap job. Swindon Audi has a new dark blue RS6 in the showroom. With extras, its on sale for a...

Re: RS4 vs 335d
For what it's worth, my last car was an E92 335i M Sport Touring. Fast, but got bored with it, the run flats made the ride very hard, no drama when accelerating hard, no road presence, and crap paintwork. No regrets swapping it for an RS4 - even if it is a B7!
