Depends... They're two different tones (front and back) plus a third higher pitched for when they are goosed. Odd for them to go off with nothing around. Typically, try washing it (though I doubt it's that dirty if you haven't driven it yet), or failing that a screwdriver head round the inner ring. ...

There was one at Wimbledon Audi when mine was in for its service last week. Its diff had gone bang and was in to be fixed; I'd be properly ticked off if I'd spent £100k on a car and the diff was up in smoke with handfulls of miles on the clock. An update on this matter from my point of view. The case against the accused in my case was dropped, despite some matching glass fragments in his clothing and the Stanley blade on his person. The CPS weren't confident of a successful case. The eyewitness lost line of sight before the police arrived,...

Interestingly, I'm in the market for a 1.9 TDI badge for the back of mine now....

Update: the car is now with Audi and it's 'not the worst they've seen', the last one they saw had all the carpets and trim pulled out as the thieves looked for the tracker. I've 'just' got scratches on the door which look deep enough to need some correction, same on the driver's door card. Alarm uni...
