Re: Do they handle (proper) cold?
Hi, I live in Norway spend most of my weekends skiing in the mountains. Have seen -25 C without any issues. Car startside fine and experience no issues with engine or gearbox. The most cost efficent pre-heat solution is the Defa warm up systems. The it is a modular system where you can chose to only...

Replaced coil on cylinder with intermitted misfire, problem solved. Since the so called original coils from Ebay seems to be everything else than original i changed all 8 of them.

Re: More problems FFS
I had exactly the same symthoms as you describe... Rough idle and misfire during startup..ref link shop posted. The one thing i did which nailed it was to go in with camera through the sparkplug entry and looked inside the cylinder when car had been left over night. One cylinder had a wet surface wh...

Re: Pictures of my RS6
So Norway must be a pretty sad place to live if you are a car enthusiast. I'm guessing all the cars are Toyota Prius and Renault Clios? Shop, It is a mix. Not that many high performance cars as you see in UK, but plenty of Audi's, BMW's, Merc's but mostly with the smaler type engine options. Very f...

Re: Coil Failure.. again
Could be cheap Chinese copies on ebay. I personally would never buy important ignition / fuelling parts from unsure sources. To rule out leaky injectors, you can look down the bores to see if wet. Check for black smoke on start-up, rich running on the trim. If you've got an air leak somewhere you'd...

Re: Pirelli P-Zero on RS6
Not so much reasoning as experience. I have run two sets of P Zero on two different Beasts. Main issues: - Not too bad in dry, but not great either - crap in the damp or wet - poor wear rate - ate both sets in around 10K miles, or 1600 Norwegian Miles! You are much better off with Goodyear Eagle F1...

Lets hope not! The head gasket was replaced August last year, hope it is not failed already.
I checked the cooling water reservoir, no reduction in the level and no smell of HC. There is not comming white smoke either..

Re: Coil Failure.. again
Why not just move the coil pack to a different cylinder and see if the fault follows, if not then you can attack something else. Have you tried moving the wires attached to the coil at No8 to see if the misfire starts? Chuncky, Thanks for you advice. My plan is to do as you describe. I just wanted ...

Re: Used TC and Valve body for sale
Did you have the rest of the gearbox rebuilt while it was out, new clutch packs, pump, etc? Hi, I only changed VB and TC. Had no problem with the gearbox prior to the change out. Based on what information i could find on forum etc leaking seal in TC and plugging channels in VB was the most common i...
