RNS-E 192 wiring question
Hi all. Posted this in the B7 RS4 forum but I know a lot of you run these units in other cars so just hoping someone can help me with this. Have an OEM 192 K RNS-E that came with my 2007 B7 RS4. Trying to wire up a CarPiHat to the car which needs: - constant 12v - switched 12v - 2x ground This will ...

RNS-E 192 wiring
Hi all. Have the OEM 192 K RNS-E that came with my 2007 B7. Trying to wire up a CarPiHat to the car which needs: - constant 12v - switched 12v - 2x ground This will be for a project that essentially runs a mini computer and I only want it running when the RNS-E is running so I figure it makes sense ...

Re: Full Clutch Kit Recommends
Just to follow up here I went with Option one above. LUK OEM flywheel (sourced it from JHM in USA) and Sachs performance clutch. New master and slave and all other other recommended bits including the braided line. All feels good and works great. Nice OEM feel I was after. Only thing a bit different...

I noticed it this morning too from 0600-0930 GMT. Could have been longer but those are the times I checked.

Carbon clean Ireland
Bit of a niche question here I know but can anyone recommend anywhere in Ireland, South or North, for a proper carbon clean? Preferably the "right way" with walnut blasting. It's for a B7 RS4 so would be a nice bonus if it was someone who could possibly look at doing the de-flap mod. Thanks!

Re: Has anyone managed to successfully repair or wrap the milky aluminium trim?
Yeah if I was doing it as a standalone job I'd definitely try the wrap option to see how it comes out. Doing it on its own would not be worth it unless getting other paint work done in my opinion. Let us know how you get on please!

Re: Has anyone managed to successfully repair or wrap the milky aluminium trim?
Yeah so initially I was aware there was a difference between trim and mirrors but after trim got done mirrors did not look good - I requested they leave them alone because they only had a few chips. We came together and ultimately they wanted everything done to make it look complete and I came aroun...

https://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=142728&p=967198&hilit=Lap6#p966198 LAP6 paint code with a matte lacquer is what I passed onto my paint shop last year who redid all the trim prices and the mirrors during a full respray. Replacing the trim pieces just wasn't an option any more so we had t...

Re: Rear Brake discs
Yeah these came in at €475 each incl VAT from Audi in Ireland. Costing more than that on Autodoc currently. Needed new calipers then because one was properly seized. Audi wanted €450 each, painted black, but no longer in stock and no restock date - the usual trend now with stock B7 parts. Got a set ...

Re: Rear Brake discs
Yeah I saw this the other day when I went looking. Some price. Ended up getting them direct from Audi because there was only a fiver in the difference. Needed them suddenly and last minute otherwise would have went with Reyland or Tarox.

Re: Full Clutch Kit Recommends
About to pull the plug on this in the coming weeks and still trying to decide between the OEM LUK dual mass flywheel and a single mass flywheel. The single mass obviously gives me more options for clutches but I'm worried about noise and feel. I'm reading that the fully steel ones aren't bad at all ...

Re: KW V3 Setup
They will settle a bit after first install so probably best to install a little bit high. Whatever you pick please remember this. Crunched my front splitter off of a footpath while parking many years ago just a week or so after having fitted Bilsteins and the front had sunk/settled down. Can still ...

Re: TTS SUPERCHARGED RS4 B7
If whoever brought this into Ireland ends up roaming around these forums I'd really appreciate, even by PM, letting us know what the import and VRT ended up being and whether it was what was quoted or individually assessed. As some of you know we get absolutely hammered on vehicle tax in Ireland and...

Re: Running on 4 Cylinders
I had a similar issue with the crosstalk between the ECUs about 12-13 years ago but it didn't appear as 4 cylinders/limp mode. Just got a check engine light I scanned the codes and got something that sounded very like that. I dug and found out there was an Audi Service Bulletin out that the ECUs nee...
