Yes, you're right. And when that clutch slips it produces what is called a torque converter shudder.
Good article about it here:

Re: Goodyear Eagle F1 for good price

I am getting 4 soon too. Think they were a little cheaper on tyre leader tbh about £128ish. I have used Tyre Leader last year, if you are going to buy from them, make sure you do it fast as they tend to increase prices over time. It has happened to me, I was trying to negotiate with a local tyre fi...

Re: Finally something without rs6 tax!

bought the exact button for 8.27 pounds, brand new and original :), that was cheap indeed..also bought at the same time the front windows switches surrounding trim for the same price each...i guess they wanted to get rid of it as nobody buys them anymore. Here is a good one, we bought last year fro...

Re: Goodyear F1 Asymmetric fully fitted £750. Edit:£659

Just a quick update. I phoned Protyre Bristol a week later after making the order, surprise-surprise, they must have suffered a terrible memory loss as they could not remember making any price offer to me nor making any order for a set of G/Y F1 assy2. Their reply: "We can get them for you this afte...

Re: C6 vs C7

Only warranty worth the paper is Audi's through Mondial. 700 horse is filters and map. If you blow your engine up don't expect Audi to cough up. You modify you risk the warranty, simple as that. So is there any point having warranty on modified cars? If you declare the mods before taking warranty a...

Re: Goodyear F1 Asymmetric fully fitted £750

I've had a very good experience with Protyre Bristol, they have sorted out my winter tyres balancing problem after the previous tyre garage had botched the balancing big time (wheels were off 30-35 grams!). So I phoned the Protyre today asking for a set of GoodYear F1 Asy 2, advised them on Tyrelead...

Re: Engine fans draining battery...

It look like it's related to Audis in general. My 3.0 TDI has got similar issue, in my case the coolant fan control 1. Luckily for me the fan stays on only for 10-15 sec after ignition is switched off and only does it in wet and cold weather. Some people from vwaudiforum.co.uk have had similar issue...

Yes, that's the right rating and the ones with that rating are the cheapest ones.

Re: Goodyear F1 Asymmetric fully fitted £750

I'm about to get a set of Assymetric 2's for the RS6, best price is http://www.tyreleader.co.uk £555 delivered, select fitting as they have a couple of affiliated garages in Bristol that should make it around 600 notes fitted. Unfortunately none around here but I'll get them done locally for about ...

Re: RS6 C5 owners: Will you ever sell?

If you're going to buy a diesel, then it has to be a BMW. That way you'll still get some enjoyment from the handling unlike the 3.0 TDI A6 S Line I had the misfortune to spend the week in recently. I enjoyed my 320d M Sport Coupe that I ran alongside my plus more than I had any right to, with X Dri...
