Yup, that's the plan, as I do not know how long these pads have been on the car before I bought it.
I'm getting some quotes for the pads as they are not readily available here in NZ, and rather not pay the 2 or 3 time mark up from the dealer.

Re: Carbon Ceramics - Maintenance and Experiences
Had the front pads off the other day, to get them inspected. Not sure if the sound is due to what we found, will know once we get new pads on it. But we did find some heat cracks, and some uneven wearing, which is odd due to the size of them and the 8 pot calipers. Will update you with more once the...

Got a pretty decent spec one, pretty much has everything but the sunroof, even ...

Been away for a while, made some silly choices, and sold my RS6
but realized not long after, I had to go back.

TPMS Sensor - Parts
Hey Guys. Finally did it, traded in the RS6 for a V8 R8, and have been loving ever day since. Most happy with the sound, the V10 RS6 was a beast, but she was designed to be a quite luxury car, and it was just not what I was after right now. That and she was a big girl on the tracks............cant w...

After Market Pads for Audi R8
Hey Getting closer to making a decision on the next car. But have to sort out a few thing first. Been looking around at what is available in terms of after market pads for the R8, what have people tried. EBC - Red and Yellow seem pretty easy to get on ebay, but are they any good ? (Track and Daily D...

Re: The Unbeating Heart of the Beast - RS6
Quick update on the the RS6, Cause for the oil leak was just a basic connection part failure. Wasn't a huge leak and would only happen after it was running for several minutes. Once engine was off the leak stopped, which made it annoying to find. I was told the seal for the oil pump of the dry sump ...

Re: Expected Wear and Tear on stock Audi R8 V8
Sweet, Thanks Chunky79 Main reason I am thinking of switching is just the day to day driving. Love the RS6 dont get me wrong, its epic, and I love how it scares people on the track, something so big overtaking them so fast , tore past a Lotus Exige S on the straight on the last track day, lot...

Expected Wear and Tear on stock Audi R8 V8
I want to get an idea on what the wear and tear on an stock R8 V8 or RS5 would be compared to a C6 RS6.
My C6 RS6's wear and tear on rotors, pads and tyres are quite high, due to weight of course.
And while we are here, thoughts on your choice between a RS5 or R8.

Track Day Tyre Pressure - What do you run?
Hey Guys Got a track day coming up and the last few I have been at I have had some issues with the tyre pressure and heat expansion. For day to day I normally run 38psi, but this seems to high for the track with heat expansion, they expand to around 45psi, and once they went up close to 50psi, had t...

Re: RS6 Logo Floor Mats
I got some extra info and found that you need to tell the dealer they are in the Exclusive' range and aren't listed in ETKA. So I went back to my dealer and told them to have another look, and they came back and said yes they can get them, but will be $2500 NZ for the set .......... I did ch...

Re: Such a Shame
The last thing you would want to do is have to fix the gear box for an RS6. So i am more then happy for it to idiot proof it and tell me when i can change down gears safely. The auto is so much faster then I could ever change the gears manually. It going to be tough for these manual only people as t...

Re: OCD moment
The polish is good for making it shine, but to clean that <beep> off you want some wire wool and some oven cleaner. After its clean, polish it with NXT. I would be a bit wary of that approach, I tried it on my S5, and it worked, but at the same time dulled the chrome finish. And I could never get i...
