Re: 3,000 to 8,000 3rd gear test,
Sorry for the delayed reply guys, been away all weekend! Rang where I had it dyno'd on sat. The 360hp was calculated at the flywheel! So I will run a few 3 to 8 k tests the. Think it will be a carbon clean!

Re: 3,000 to 8,000 3rd gear test,
Yeah I'm going to run a few 3-8k tests now to get the average like you said. Then carbon clean as the car has done 68,000 and never had one that I know of. Going to have a read of that thread recently made for carbon cleaning

Re: 3,000 to 8,000 3rd gear test,
Well just left the rolling road, results are pretty much what I expected, 360hp at the wheels, fuel mixture perfect apparently. Looks like I'll be doing a carbon clean soon

Re: 3,000 to 8,000 3rd gear test,
Ive tried this test once, need to try it a few more times to get an average. But it was similar 8.7/8. Taking it to the rollers tomorrow to see what shes kicking! So then we can see times against power etc

Re: 4 new tyres
Yep definitely ps2's as they rang the factory to see if they were available. Took threes days to come. Compared to black circle who claim to be the best priced, tyre finder beat them

4 new tyres
Had to finally bite the bullet this month and get four new tyres. Went for Michelin ps2's at my local Michelin dealer 'tyre finder' balanced and fitted £840 all in. Thought that was a pretty good price!?

Re: RS4 B7 Clutch quote
£1600 is still bloody good! Seeing as the flywheel for me is £770+vat clutch kit £120+vat, I know I'm doing the work myself which is saving a fair bit of money. It's not that bad of job to do if you've got the kit! They say roughly 10.5 hours to do the job and I had the box out in five first time. A...

Re: RS4 B7 Clutch quote
I'm now doing the clutch on mine, it's in bits as we speak! Im debating whether I should change my flywheel or not as it's £770 + vat!! Going to measure it up tomorrow to see if it's within the tolerances. But that does sound really cheap for a clutch job knowing the work evolved!

Which clutch?
So I've tested out the hydraulic side of the clutch operation and that's all good. Its got to be internal now and I recon the thrust has gone through the pressure plate fingers. Stripping box out tomorrow evening and was wondering what's best to put back Oem or aftermarket? Any suggestions would be ...

Re: Clutch pedal won't work
Just tried it again this morning and still no different clutch pedal goes to the floor, really hard to push about an inche from the bottom of travel. And I have to return it by pulling it back.

Re: Clutch pedal won't work
I take it that the return pipe comes from the thrust, through the bell housing to the slave cylinder? Therefore you would have to split it to get to it!? I've got a car lift, can you remove gearbox from underneath? Or is it engine out job? A lot of people talk about putting alternative clutches can ...
