Re: Reverse lights on permanent

This seems to have happened to me now too. The reverse lights and sensors come on and stay on.

Is there any easy fix for this?

Oil Leak from Timing Chain Cover - Engine Out

Alright folks, Car was in for a service on the 8th of jan and i was advised that it would need to go back in for an investigation into an oil leak from the timing chain cover, cant be leaking much as there is no oil on my drive and it doesnt seem to be using much more oil than usual. The car is only...

Re: Extended Warranty

Alright Chaps. Just got the extended warranty quote through from Audi for my motor (had 1 year on it when bought from audi). They are quoting £750 for the 15000 mile limited warranty with £250 excess (anything worth claiming for would always be way above this). To be honest i'm a big warranty scepti...

Re: 145 Point Check - Brakes

Panic over, just spoke to the service manager, apparently the lassie i spoke to last night got her wires crossed a bit, pads are actually 70% left on them, not 70% worn!

Still got to go in for this timing chain housing oil leak any ideas there?

Re: 145 Point Check - Brakes

Alright folks, afraid i need to bring this thread back to life... My car was in to Aberdeen Audi yesterday for its first service and MOT since i bought it, the car is now on 39k miles. The service report has stated that the front pads are 70% worn, i find this hard to believe as the car has only cov...

Re: Exhaust Flaps FAQ

Quick question here, i've been running with the exhaust flaps disconnected for about 6 months but now im wondering about changing to a Milly. Is there much difference between a std exhaust with the flaps permanently open and the resonated, valved milly? Dont think i have the balls for going non-res ...

18" winter tyres

Sounds like a good plan if you're on the 18s already.

I'd go for a set of rs6 wheels for the 19s!

Re: 18" winter tyres

Im running the 19" wintrac extremes at the moment. Perhaps 18" would have been cheaper but then id have to get hold of a new set of wheels as well which bumps the total cost right up, for all the difference in performance of the narrower wheel except in deep snow i didnt think it worth the extra cos...

Seat bolsters not moving when 'S' button pressed

Is it only the drivers seat that has the inflating bolsters? They're the only ones that work in my motor anyway!

I've always meant to ask but never remembered.

MRC Carbon Cleaning

There is a lot to be said for REALLY driving it to the redline and getting air through the cylinders to prevent build-up. I've always thought there is a lot to be said for an "Italian Tune-up" as well. Get her up to temperature the thrash the bejesus out of it. Particularly relevant in a engine lik...

Winter Tyres

Alright folks? Just thought id start a winter thread. I've got a set of Vredestein Wintrac xtreme's going on the machine tomorrow (mytyres.co.uk - £187 a corner). Might be a bit early just now but they've arrived so i thought id get them on and bedded in before any proper snow/cold weather. Having s...

Re: Where are you all?!

Try living in Aberdeen, place is full of B7 RS4s!

Still a bit more exclusive than Astons though, car park today has a Vantage, DB9 and a Rapide.
