Had the car for over 2 months now and have noticed a rattle at the drivers window seal area that comes and goes. Anyone else had this issue? Took it to dealer for test drive and as expected, it didn't rattle! He told me to keep a record over next few days and bring it back.

Well it's all a mystery as they didn't know about the recall, then phoned me back to say there has been a recall, but didn't specify what it was for. I had questioned about the brakes, but they didn't answer. I'll find out in a few weeks!

Is this a dealer contact recall or fit on request/complaint? I went into Aberdeen Audi a few months ago and was told nothing could be done with the whistling brake problem at low speeds and also posted on this forum for any ideas. I phoned them to book it in as I feel they wouldn't have contacted m...

Morning All! Just a quickie to see if anyone else on here has squealing brakes when braking softly (ie when in traffic)? I took it into Aberdeen Audi and they've told me that's how it is - something to do with the style of discs as that's what happens on an S3......sounds like they're trying to fob ...

im pretty sure mine got a lot louder as soon as pressed the button even if stationary That's how the RS4 one works too. rpm < 1000, valve open - so pressing the S button at tickover opens the valve and makes it louder 3000 < rpm < 1000 AND 3 <= gear <= 1, valve closed rpm > 3000 AND 3<= gear <= 1, ...

Well that sounds about right then drybeer. Have to say, it does sound good when it burbles.....although the boy in me would like it to be louder!

Well having phoned Audi, apparently they don't know how the valve works either! :audibash: All I wanted to know was whether the valve is supposed to stay open the entire time the sports button is pressed? I have to take it in so they can see it for themselves.... seems a bit extreme for just a "yes"...

Afternoon All, Just have a quick question. Whenever I use the S-button and slow down from 4th to 3rd the exhaust valve seems to close and re-open when I slow right down into 1st gear. For example when I slow down for a speed bump, I notice the "metal clanging" noise when the valve opens. Anyone else...

Totally agree.....up here in Aberdeen there's a lot of S3's, so it falls into the sleeper category quite easily! You can see a few people double take who know about them, otherwise no-one really notices!!

Quite nice to see a comparison to something other than the 1M (which in my opinion is a different car all together).

Couldn't agree more!! I'm not a fan of the red rims on anything other than white or black. There's a black RS3 for sale down south with red rims and black optic pack, which I think looks pretty bad ass! I'm not sure about owning it and having to live with it everyday, but still.........pretty mean! :D
