For the time being, I've just sat the new one on top. It covers the old one completely and sits flush. I'm really pleased with how it looks.

I would say its 99% ok. You would have to look very hard to spot any difference. For the price though and what it would cost to replace the whole bottom silver part, its a no brainer! IMAO

Thanks for the info. I see when you cross reference, the part numbers the same - 101 905 621. Don't think my ones now have the three electrodes. Is this something new?

As Mike said. Check power steering fluid level. Mine was doing it and a very small top up cured the problem.

28 was my best on a long drive from the IOW to the Lakes. Obviously didn't include the hour sat on the boat!

That's a shame mate as we have plans tonight. Perhaps next time you are on the Island. Our little girl starts school in September and I decided against Holy Cross because of that lane!! Can you get up there without grounding?
