Re: Coolant leak

Thanks for the suggestions.
Yes I've got the under-tray off and we had a very good looks around when it was on the ramp for an oil change recently.
of course now I talking about it, the leak as stopped!

Shop - yes was wondering if the buflin pipe might be the culprit?

Coolant leak

Hope you all had a good Christmas. Getting 1/3 litre coolant leak typically overnight. Not leaking when running. ( Cornwall to London no loss!) No obvious leaks from pipes or joints. Rad looks dry Evidence of red drops on underside near coolant expansion tank area, possible drops under tank near dra...

200 A fuse etc

Foolishly allowed drains to block on my normally garaged car which has recently been outside under trees. Lower fuse corroded and possibly one above too. Can anyone confirm it is 200 A part N10525605 ? what is the upper one? Do I need to change fuse holder as well or just fuse? What precautions? Pre...

Belated Happy Easter Steve

I'd say that's a good result all things considered. Plenty of life left in the old girl!

Re: After run fans

I know the car is running a lot “cooler” since I had all that work done. I can only compare the fans to how they used to behave. On the old fan. Every time I switched the engine off the fan would run on for a couple of mins. On the new fan not so. I will investigate a bit further on future trips ou...

Re: Wheeler Dealers Nov 20th RS6 C5

Ooh nice. £12.5k seems a lot but maybe the values are going up. I’d want full cambelt change, coolant swap, brake fluid change and gearbox service if it’s been sitting for 5 years. Agreed, however with the extra servicing done it looks like a nice example. We all know they (like most cars ) need co...

Re: What's left of the old girl has gone up for sale

Nick,
I'm tempted to buy her off you for spares, as I know how much time and effort you put into it.
However I think that it would be better for someone to get her back on the road.
Hope you get on well with the C8, but don't forget your old buddies on the C5 forum.
Best wishes
Ric

Re: RS6 Avant-anybody know it?

Looking at the MOT history, nothing too problematic, especially if you can DIY.
Probably worth looking at.
At that price you can't expect a perfect example.
