Re: Brake fluid

1. Don't get caught
2. Don't leave powder scales in the car
3. Don't drive yellow Range Rovers to drug deals

Which leads nicely into the opening scene of Layer Cake

Re: Brake fluid

Ps. Instrument cluster is doing well. Many many thanks for your help. No bother, always glad to help out an RS brother :beerchug: Nice. I am interested in this. I looked into it briefly but lots of dyes are water based. What powder did you buy? I went for a sample pot of Solvent Blue 97 (Bestoil Bl...

Re: Brake fluid

ATE 200 (replaced super blue) That’s what I used Chris. I used 2 litres so as to give it a good flush. Just wish it was still blue. I know some members use a cheaper oil for the flush. I just couldn’t be arsed. I think the two litres cost me £29:00. Hello Steve, Long time no speak :bigwave: Yeah, t...

Alas the Aston image is a fake, but very well remembered across the internet. I believe it's a photo of Rosanne Jongenelen, for those who are interested ;) The text is from a genuine BMW ad campaign, from about 15 years ago.... I'll post it here for historical reference. https://i.imgur.com/J3qUCiX....

Re: Another oil tread

Hello :) Millers make some cracking oils, and I really like their nanodrive products (I used a seperate nano additive in my car prior to Millers making this type of oil with one already included) and this even meets the VW 502 00 / 505 01 specs Audi reccomend also. It's good stuff, and i'm sure your...

Re: Need to order new torque-converter today

Gents, I think the correct part number is 01L323571G and is somewhere between $$$extortionate.00 and €500.00 depending on where you look.... I'm fairly certain the RS6 converter is specific to the car, and not shared.... I seem to recall the gearbox housing is 'not quite standard' in order to accept...

A nazi - but not of the “grammar” variety, I see. So what’s your nazi niche?
His niche is/are bottoms...
Yeah... Used to be 4 stars on his head, not his SS lapels. But I guess he's not young anymore.

Re: VCDS Cable

You need to be 100% sure the cable uses a real FTDI chip - there are a lot of cables that use cloned chips, which the genuine FTDI drivers won't talk to now. Look for a cable with a genuine FT232R chip for best compatibility.

I'm not 10 miles down the road from you, with exactly the same dilemma a few weeks ago! Mine's been off the road for about 3 years now, primarily due to gaining 2 kids and a Q7 as a family wagon. I've started piecing mine back together on the drive, but was refreshed to see MRC Scotland now operate ...

Does Astrosquirrel not have a set of springs he can ship? He's in the middle of breaking an Avant.... Certainly worth a PM.

However, it's also a myth (IMVHO) that the engine oil warms the trans oil - only point they touch is where're they in contact on adjacent sides of the end caps - which is tiny
Yep, and would be unneeded too, as the ATF is heated by the engine coolant instead....
