Afternoon All,
Just to confirm, this car did have vac leak issues, the N335 valve (pictured above in the last image) had failed, so the recouped power was due to the decoke and fixing the vac problem.
HTH,
Ben

Re: AMD
Right, even though this thread has gone a little off topic, I thought I would share with you what happened at AMD. I didn't go for the de-coke as basically I didn't want to spend on that and getting the vacuum fault fixed. So anyway, after they replaced a MAF sensor. After this was added it got 380...

Re: Rolling Road Day @ AmD Essex
Evening All, Just wanted to pop on here to say thank you to everyone who attended today and Louie for organising it all. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, just shame the weather wasn't ideal but indoor BBQ's are all the rage, don't you know  About 20 minutes after Louie left there was a horren...

Re: Not very happy with AMD Essex!
I picked my car up on Saturday from Amd! They had it for a week. I have a de coke, gut the per cats and a remap! Don't get me wrong they done a fantastic job! But the communication was not there! I didn't have one call, not even a call to say the car was ready! I rang in the week as I wanted to no ...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
Morning, The standard box we have here ready to go (as pictured), so there is not a long wait on this one. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i150/minimadgriff/IMAG0893.jpg For the uprated box this would be carried out on your own box and unfortunately will take 2-3 weeks. Maybe if there is alot of d...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
As stated, as soon as I have the ins and outs of what is done to the modded gearboxes I will let you know, along with the warranty for the uprated box. We have fitted several off their standard reconditioned boxes and they have shown no issues so far, this type of gearbox is not new to them. They al...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
Internals of auto gearboxes are not my forte, he did tell me a list of what is upgraded but it was getting too internally technical for me. I was expecting this to crop up though and am waiting for the info to come back to me. As soon as I have it I will share it with you all. In the mean time I can...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
Afternoon All, As Phil said I have been waiting until our sponsorship is sorted plus I have also had some time off. W can offer an upgrade to take 1000-1100 nm of torque. This does cost quite abit more due to the work and components involved, about £1000 alone is spent on the torque converter. The p...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
Could this be done at AmD's Amersham branch or only at the one in Thurrock? Hi Bill, They are absolutley nothing to do with us AmD Essex/AmD Tuning at all and are not to be associated with us in any way. We only have two dealers/re-sellers which can be found here on our contacts page http://www.amd...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
Ben, with all due respect buddy. This isn't really an offer, £3.5k is the going rate an independent charges anyway. Do RS246 members get a further discount? Hi Amar, To be fair I didn't actually state this was a special offer price. This is a set price we are offering this service for. The main poi...

Re: RS6 Re-conditioned Gearbox and Fitting Service
How many hours for removal? Do you remove just the box or engine as well? We do remove the engine to change the gearbox on the RS6. The labour time is about 22-25 hours (Dealer warranty labour time is 22 hours), £1500.00 + vat is our price for the labour alone if we were fitting a new box or a cust...
