Re: Fuel Filter change guide. Anyone know.

its very ease to change, pinch the gas lines on both sides, the filter sits outside the fuel tank, towards the front. pinch the lines, pull each line out, and replace.....easy....with lift very easy

Re: Wagners, do I need them in my life right now???

I have the wagners, and they are beautifully made. I deleted the fogs, and went w/ CF shrouds and grills. I was under the impression, that wagners given the increased volume aren't necessary unless you plan on running bigger turbo's....flame if you like, but if your concerned with heat soak, why not...

Re: Airbox mod

wasnt there a heavily modded, c5 RS6 that went FMIC and space gained, used custom tubes(a la DBR/Apikol) that extended down in front of the front passenger wheels, hence away from manifolds? Btw, since I have a complete Dahlback stage 3 RS6(but running a stock airbox with K&N's, long story)...I just...

Re: "lumpy" throttle response

it might be the abs sensor, they are located in the hub/axle, they are magnetic and do pick up rust from time to time. This will throw an ESP light and cut power. If you had a VAG it could be easily determined. If you rather check, remove wheels, check behind hub, right on axle there is a bolt(not s...

Re: Euro envy solved

It's a fail here in the states as well with the DMV. I found a resistor kit for aftermkt seats, problem solved.

Re: Euro envy solved

Yep, I have read u can plug resistors in to trick the airbag system. As for quality, that is a last generation iPhone pic, so it's crap. I have recaros in my V, they are beautiful. Sadly AoA didn't offer the option on the one year they imported the RS6. Heck, I'm one of those owners, who doesn't lea...

Euro envy solved

I picked up a used, but flawless pair of recaro Sport, toplines...They are nearly perfect and I paid $1k for the set. The brackets, custom from wedge and sliders cost me another $450...should have them bolted in about 2 weeks...only problem is damn airbag light will be permanent...

Re: Oh pants, car already feeling slower......

As for trans, I have a custom level10 trans, able to handle 800hp. Extra clutch packs, hardened internals, bigger valve body. In addition to their TC. Hi Stephen, When was your trans built up, was it before Sam left to form 517trans? Also, would you mind posting up a dyno of your beast in current t...

Re: Oh pants, car already feeling slower......

Just another suggestion, if your worried about heat soak...there is always the sportec mod that many in the states have done to their underside tray. It lowers oil temps by 25 degrees.

Re: Oh pants, car already feeling slower......

From an American who has not left his RS6 alone since I bought her 15 months ago, I think as owners we get "used" to the power and start to get a little bored, IMO. I am only one of 2 RS6's in the states with a dahlback stage 3 race kit, the car makes great power, but I wish I had more....and I know...

Re: Getting a clunking noise

I had a clunking that got progressively worse, and I have KWv3's. Turns out my steering rack bolts were removed, and not replaced...they were loose....as well as my under carriage bolts, which also needed tightening. I ended up buying all new stretch bolts. Matter fact, I have spacers and wider tire...

Re: Just recorded a 0-60 in

I have been able to do a launch on mine several times, duck rat duck foot method( I have NO idea why they call it that), but essentially brake boosting. My trans is custom as is my TC, and with my Vbox I got 3.7 easy. But alas, I don't have it recorded, so it's meaningless. Maybe this week I will at...
