RE: Well Said

I really miss mine but I had to sell earlier this year because I left the country and the steering wheel was on the wrong side for me to take it with me. It was the most fund daily driver I ever had. I replaced it with an E63 AMG and I have to say that I actually like the torque, automatic transmiss...

RE: looking for an rs4

The RS4 was a great family hauler for me. I "only" had the MTM remap to 420BHP and it was certainly my kids' preferred mode of transportation. I liked the understated look with supercar performance. Stock brakes are fine if you are planning road use only and I found the stock suspension just about c...

Fact is that you just don't seem to get a premium for a modded car when you sell it.

RE: S4 / RS4 - I just don

I have both - you'd need to drive them to understand why the RS4 is just so special. Ultimately, selling price is all about what a potential buyer is willing to pay for it.

A car is only worth what you are willing to pay for it. Keep on mind that brakes, timing belt, buckled wheels can be expensive maintenance items and that sometimes cheap cars end up not being so cheap at the end if you take high cost maintenance items into account. Keep in mind that some dealers sel...

My Rs4 is feeling a bit nervous at the rear at higher speeds.
Thinking about doing a 4wheel alignment.
What do you guys run and what is the stock numbers?
Have a look st the suspension bushes before you do anything expensive. They might just need replacing.

At the moment it is still on Irish plates. UK registration only requires the payment of road tax as it is originally a UK car. Please give Nick a call or send me a PM with any questions.

RE: RS4 B5 GEARBOX PROBLEMS BEFORE APRIL 2001

I had mine replaced and upgraded from FDP to FZW under the extended warranty. BTW - while you are upgrading the gearbox, you might as well replace the clutch.

RE: Viewed a nice RS4 B5 today but..

1) Does not sound good - better ask a specialist because this could get expensive. 2) These cars are now about 10 years old and this is a known problem - I wouldn't sweat it 3) I'd ask the seller about the reason for this - there could be a perfectly good explanation. Sounds like its due for another...

Re: 2NG Gear traction control cutting in

However 2 driver issues........1 when you spank her through the gears, more often than not, the traction control cuts in arround 3000-4000 revs, only in second gear, and shuts down the power down for far too long....................also squeeking and shuddering brakes. I think the previous owner ha...

Re: Your RS4 for sale

Too bad you cant bring it back over here to the US with you. Did you used to have C4S and be on the Rennlist board? If so, I spoke to you some years ago when you first got the RS4. With the importation of these cars getting much easier, it would be a great car to bring back. I would buy it if it wa...
