Re: MAF housing inside diameter?
I'll take the fact that nobody responded as not many people know the answer ha. I tore into the stock airbox last night...results: straight section of plastic pipe measures ~3.730" ...about .010" shy of 95mm so we will call it 95mm for anyone searching for this answer at a later date. In other news ...

MAF housing inside diameter?
Hey guys, Curiously looking into designing my own intake as I personally find current market offerings a bit steep price wise. Seems the use of carbon fiber along with the exclusivity of the product allows current manufacturers to charge whatever they please. No mistake both the gruppe m and revolut...

Re: H&R springs + New Wheels + Photoshoot for Avant Garde Wh
Yes in the U.S. Indiana specifically. The exhasut is actually a full Magnaflow kit...dual 2.5" downpipes and cat-back with no pre cat and a high flow rear cat. The tips that came on the Magnaflow cat back were not to my liking though so I fitted these after installing. just dual 3.5 slash cut double...

H&R springs + New Wheels + Photoshoot for Avant Garde Wheels
Well guys as some of you know I installed the H&R springs last week (loving them) in preperation for a bit of a stance upgrade. It was time for new tires and as I got looking I decided to sell a few of my other toys to raise runds to buy new wheels at the same time. I have always been a huge fan of ...

Re: Mid H&R Spring Install... Need Input on Clunk
Appologies for bumping my own thread but just thought I would chime in and say the install is complete. Did the other side of the front and both rears in about 5 hours last night. Pretty thrilled with the results...sitting at 25.75 front and 26.0 rear .....this is with current tires on the wear bars...

Re: Mid H&R Spring Install... Need Input on Clunk
Figured the clunk out. Almost too embarresed to post this but it might help someone else searching for answers someday so why not. I just found a small inconspicous looking washer on the ground in my garage near where I was working last night. Upon further investigation and in part thanks to ArthurP...

Re: Mid H&R Spring Install... Need Input on Clunk
I am begining to wonder if my car was fitted with SS+ springs originally...as I am currently not seeing near that drop. Last night was sitting at 26.25" to the fender lip with completely worn tire that is getting ready to be replaced...so that is 26.5 with new tires. Like I said I know the springs a...

Mid H&R Spring Install... Need Input on Clunk
Hey guys, I am installing the H&R sport springs on my car. Started on them last evening and it went very well. Did the front right corner, got everything out and back installed with the new spring without removing the DRC. Really wasn't bad at all. I was very satisfied with the project at this point...

Re: Fitted the H&R lowering springs today
Am I correct in saying that the rears are much more straight forward? Have new wheels on the way and am thinking the car won't look as good as it could until I drop it slightly. Expierienced in working on cars, have the correct tools, from your pictures I can handle the fronts but havent had a chanc...

Re: Buzzing sound from dash
Have this exact same issue. Sound comes straight out from instrument cluster area like its the cluster itself or something directly behind/around it. I initially thought the same as rick_rs4 as I have much expierience with industrial relays and contactors and they both have a tendancy to create a bu...

Re: Downpipe self install question
Great thought RS4pete, does anyone have a clue if the flange on the end of the header rotates or is fixed? Im thinking about going underneath tonight to apply some penetrating lubricant to the bolts to help with removal so I will do my best to see if the flanges are fixed or not. My other thought wa...

Re: Downpipe self install question
I am fitting a full Magnaflow kit. Their "off-road" downpipes into their cat back system. Basically full dual 2.5" exhaust with 1 high flow cat per side, true x pipe, and 5" x 8" x14" straight through mufflers. Plus I got something special worked up for the tips.

Downpipe self install question
Hey guys, I will be installing my full exhaust including down pipes within the next few days and of course I am very excited. In preparation for this project I lifted the car today to get a look at what I will be coming across. It all looks very simple and self-explanatory except when I was looking ...

Re: Technical battery drain issue.. Please help!
I dont know much about the battery protection system...and whatever my problem is is obviously causing mine not to work. I am in the process of downloading and making my own rns-e update cd. I am going to update it to sw0200 and see if perhaps that changes anything and allows the nav unit to fully s...

Re: Technical battery drain issue.. Please help!
Yeah as I said I am an engineer and am very methodical in my troubleshooting haha.. No aftermarket alarm, tracker, or stereo installed. ArthurPE I did try pulling just the "cluster/nav" fuse while leaving the "radio" fuse in...that situation also gave me the proper 40mA reading. I think I've figured...
