Re: crank, no start
Conclusion: VAGcom showed code below on pretty much all injectors/cylinders. Erased codes. Cranked (nothing). Codes come right back. Search for injector fuse. None found. Checked again that no fuses are blown. None found. Went down the list of relevant models/circuits/fuse. Checking in fuse in posit...

Re: crank, no start
Thanks for the suggestions. Car tow finally arrived (took 14 hours from first call to arrive for 40 mile tow; not a good day (10" snow) to ask for a tow; yet untold tickets (car was stranded in metered area). In heated garage since midnight. Work will start in a couple of hours. Crank sensor change ...

crank, no start
2003 Audi RS6. After dinner yesterday evening, car cranks but on start. Currently being towed back here. Looking for suggestions where to start with troubleshooting: - VAGcom scan for codes, write down, erase - crank. See what codes come back - crank position sensor bad IIRC creates 'crank no start'...

Re: Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
We are normally use 7200 rpm as redline for the 5 valve Audi valve trains. Is the RS6 Cosworth different? Rarely seen anyone doing it, but likely because of the tiny compressores falling flat on their face starting at 5.5k rpm. Since I have not yet seen logs/charts of RS6 with larger turbos yet, I ...

Re: Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
Don't want to bother those above mentioned (I have not business for them, so try not to pick their brain under false pretense). Only looking for some 'public domain' information about how others with large turbos have set up their cars. I have the same turbos on my 2.7T, actually hope to start tunin...

Re: Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
Search with 'dubbed up Daz' didn't bring up anything useful. Tried to find some dyno charts for RS6 on Loba 650, not much there either. Most are jsut dabbling with stock turbos. Search on the MRC website also only stage 1 stuff for the C5. I guess I will revisit once we have the first base tune logs...

Re: Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
If the stock Tiptronic 5HP24A can last (no abuse) on 550 lbft (750Nm) or even 800 Nm, I can live with that. We are normally use 7200 rpm as redline for the 5 valve Audi valve trains. Re: Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
I meant: the dyno chart was done with stock turbos? Or upgraded/larger ones?

Stock turbos I presume?

Re: Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
800 Nm is 590 ft*lb.
What does "MRC limit" mean?
What does your torque curve look like?
Ditto boost curve?

Transmission limits - what torque/boost are you running
Transmission upgrade is scheduled for next winter (either beefed up Tiptronic, or 01E manual swap). Until then, I want to determine what level of torque (particularly low end, since turbos are fully spooled up before 3k rpm) or boost I can subject the stock tranny to. Obviously the most limiting fac...

Re: RS6 - high mileage - stay away or go for it?
Have been using the Rosstech with license for quite some time now. Love it. Also got the Bentley (not sure if in my versions (A4 B5 and A6 C5) the RS6 is covered as well). Was was off with the trans number. Its 5HP24A. It has a bigger bell housing than the 'non A' to accommodate a larger torque conv...

RS6 - high mileage - stay away or go for it?
I am driving a 2003 RS6 this afternoon. How concerned do I have to be with (relatively, for RS6) high miles 110k? I have seen most RS6 in $20k range, but lower mileage typically. What should I expect to be replaced soon? What are the know week points? How is the trans holding up (IIRC: special one 5...
