Re: Battery Charger Recommendations?

Yes you're right the Optimate 6 costs about 90 pounds but well worth it. When I got home in December the RS :redrs4: battery was flat. I connected the Optimate 6 and left it for a couple of days after which the car started no bother. I've left it connected while I'm away at work this time. I think t...

Re: Battery Charger Recommendations?

Happy New Year to you.

I use an Optimate 6 on the RS4, which keeps the battery fully charged when I'm away at work. I've used Optimate 4 chargers on the bikes for years with no problems.
They cost about 50 pounds or so and are well worth it IMHO.

Cheers

Re: Hodgkin's Lymphoma, anyone here had dealings with it?

Sorry to read of your experience mate. I have not had any brushes with Hodgkins but my wife had early stage breast cancer and had radiotherapy which is localised to the treatment area. Chemotherapy affects the whole body and what may cause hair loss but who cares as long as it works. As previous pos...

Esp+Epc+Limp Mode

Hi Last Saturday I'd just left the house with the RS and was picking up speed when the engine went into limp mode showing the ESP and EPC warning lights. I switched the engine off - restarted the car, which showed the ESP light had reset itself and engine power was back to normal. The EPC light remai...

Re: New mot

Amanda,

Lovely car. I've got one in the same colour on a G plate which doesn't do much mileage between MOT's either.

Re: Another trip to the Ring

Thanks for the replies. Sonny - yes would prefer a campsite with toilets etc. I found a couple of campsites on northloop, which I'll contact. One of them is beside the Ring just off the 258 but I'm not sure if they take campervans. I'll contact them anyway and see what's what. Scotty - I've had two ...

Re: Another trip to the Ring

You're right Scotty it is, and normally I'd have ridden on my own, but she would never be able to ride pillion that distance on a sportsbike.

I'm hoping to be there on 27th / 28th May. What are you riding?

Another trip to the Ring

Not really a car post but near enough with going to the Ring. We're going to the Nurburgring at the end of May, but we're taking the bike this time by towing it in a box van behind the campervan. :jump_clap: She wants a lap of the Ring on the back of the bike. Does anyone know of a campsite nearby w...

Re: RS4 Trip to Germany and Back

Sonny -the drive there was great fun. Unfortunately we came back a different way to Calais and there was a few road works which held us up a wee bit.

Tim - no run ins with the police. We didn't see that many during the whole trip.

RS4 Trip to Germany and Back

Just got back on Friday from a trip to the Nurburgring. The mileage was about 1000 miles each way (about 14 hours driving each way) and another 400 -500 brisk miles when we got there and was our first trip there with the RS4. The car ran faultlessly and used about half a litre of oil which I'm happy...

1st Class Service from Unit 20

I spoke with Rhian at Unit 20 on last wednesday at midday to discuss the delivery of a bottom suspension arm they'd ordered for me. We agreed that I'd phone the next day (thursday) with my debit card details. Sitting in the house on thursday afternoon when the postman came in his van to deliver the ...
