Re: OE55***Ex-press office B7 RS4 saloon sold to We Buy Any
I owned an OE55 - also an ex-press car, so probably a few of them about and not all are bad!

I used Russell Automotive for a service and clutch when I owned my RS4 - recommended.

Re: Sticking clutch peddle
Mine starting doing this on and off at 61k miles, eventually after sticking the clutch was very juddery, impossible to drive smoothly.
No slipping or any other symptons prior.
New clutch and flywheel sorted the issue.

Re: Buying at the 'wrong' end of the market- tips?
Don't be fooled into thinking the cheaper RS4's are all dogs. Mine is currently for sale for just over 18k and has been well looked after, looks and drives very well and has had money spent on it when needed including recent major service, new clutch and 4 tyres. As a private sale I think this is on...

Re: RS4 B7 Clutch quote
I had quotes form 2 Audi dealers for a clutch and they were quoting over £2000.
In the end I had it fitted at a specialist (in London), including flywheel for £1950 inc VAT.

Re: Cheap innit
This is at R&W Motor Company in Iver Heath, I bought my RS4 from them last year.
As for it being cheap, not sure personally. My 2006 saloon with 66k miles will go for £17500 if someone offers it. Nothing wrong with it, new clutch, recent tyres, major service, etc. That is where the market is at.

Re: Clutch problem...
I had this problem on mine from time to time, a new clutch and flywheel later and all is well (apart from my bank balance).
The friction plate or something was shot on the old clutch, quite badly according to the garage.

What they are asking for it isn't a gauge of it's value until it sells for that amount though.
Looks way overpriced IMO.

Re: Occasional difficulty selecting gears
I just had a new clutch and flywheel at Russell Automotive (specialist in London) - cost was a fairly unpleasant £1950 inc VAT.
I think AMD quoted me £1600 + VAT just to replace clutch.

This price is fitted incuding VAT (plus I get to run around in a VW Fox for a couple of days....)
I spoke to another well known specialist and they quoted £1600 + VAT.

Re: New clutch £1000?
Don't know. They will check the flywheel when they have it all apart.
Was fine until some odd issues with clutch (which I posted on here), now it is very juddery. Garage have said definitely clutch and will advise on flywheel.
£1000 sound OK?

New clutch £1000?
Is this an OK price for a new standard clutch?
Been advised £900 extra if flywheel also needs replacing?
This is at a specialist, not Audi.

Another Clutch Issue
Change gear clutch goes very light then doesn't seem to engage at all (pushing clutch down doesn't drop revs at all and can't select any gear). After a while seems to return but then lots of juddering if I accelerate in any gear (including 6th at 60mph). Even worse when pulling away in 1st, impossib...
