Re: Anyone tried H&R springs on theirs?
Are you bottoming out? I've got the exact same set up and never bottom out at the back (never really have anything heavy in the boot though). The front sometimes rubs if pushing on into a dip but otherwise have had no problems.

Same here, got them with 10mm spacers all round and I love the stance. Handling is just a touch stiffer than stock but hardly noticeable. Let's face it the roads in this country are crap, if your hitting potholes it doesn't matter what your running, so you might as well look good doing it!

Re: Brakes
Yes, I use these with yellow stuff pads and they are really good. Ideally they would be lighter but at this price they can't be beaten.

Re: Bootlid
Avant or saloon? The Avants are known for this, usually the solenoid, especially if the wiper motor has been leaking!

Re: Happy / anti-catastrophic thread
Currently at 89k, no known problems but have done the usual aux rads and leaky valve cover etc. It hardly uses any oil, has no start up rattle and was also on a longlife service schedule until I got her at 58k! If you are not getting any start up rattle I wouldn't worry too much, there is a lot of s...

Re: JHM v MRC
Thanks for the replies, I've now got my Thor plate so that can go on at the next service. Bud8817, I know everyone says how amazing the JHM tune is at the strip but what about on the road through the bends? What I don't want to do is get a car that is great in a straight line but compromised through...

Re: S4 Auto's
To get back to the OP's original question, I own a Tiptronic B6 S4 and think it's great, I never liked autos before and would have agreed that manuals are better etc.etc. But after owning mine for nearly two years now there is no way I would take a manual, auto boxes now are better than you could re...

JHM v MRC
Hello All, First off this is my first post, so hello everyone. I've got a 2004 S4 tip avant and have already done piggies and custom CAT back, next thing is a tune up, I've been wanting to get it into MRC for this ,but having read so many rave reviews about the JHM tune I'm now contemplating sending...
