Re: 20's - should I or shouldn't I?

Yeah that wheel colour does not sit well with Nardo and black optics. I get what you mean about the car needing to be perfect, it's a lot of money to spend on a car that will always feel 'not quite right' unless you powder coat/ replace wheels etc. Buying ( or in this case not) with your head and no...

Re: 1st PROBLEM

Mine did exactly the same thing after 12 months of ownership, happened at the same time as the electric handbrake failing too. Required an upgraded control unit for the handbrake, there was no mention of any coolant changes with mine though. The car has been fault free until recently when the start ...

Re: 20's - should I or shouldn't I?

I would go for it, as previously stated rims are by far the easiest element to retro fit and there are so many cool options available. I passed a black C7 on 20s the other day and was surprised at how good they looked, much better than they look on the configurator image. If this deal is making C7 o...

Re: Newbie seeking advice

The box on the RS6 is fantastic, very responsive up and down shifts in manual, particularly when transmission is in dynamic mode. I drove a carrera S with pdk the other day and personally preferred the transmission in my RS6.

Re: Tyres!

MPSS are an incredible tyre. Traction is superb, even on wet roads, good levels of wear resistance too. My car was fitted with Pirellis on delivery, I found their performance in the wet to be a lot poorer compared to the MPSS , higher levels of tyre degradation too. I had Eagle F1s on my RS4 which w...

Re: Insurance without tracker

Admiral quote isn't that bad and they don't require a tracker. Admiral quoted me £250. There is 'cheap' and then there is 'too cheap' - I put a premium that low on a car this expensive as being too cheap. Admiral also come close to bottom of Which's league table for insurers, which rates performanc...

Re: Insurance without tracker

£330 for the year with Direct Line. That's with over 9 years no claims and 3 penalty points, they have an uninsured driver promise too which I'm not other insurers do, basically if the numpty that hits you is uninsured they will still pay out provided you have their vehicle reg. I presumed all insu...

Re: Another new RS6 owner :-)

I love car collection day, especially when it is something as cool as an RS6. Quite a few Scottish C7 RS6 owners on here now, we should arrange a meet if only this rain would stop!!! Congrats on the purchase :beerchug: I'm up for that! Edinburgh based! Have you joined Scottish Audi Clan on FB or No...
