Re: Rear badge spacing?
Ooops, I put up the wrong picture. Here is the one I meant to post, with the measurements I made.
Factory, but I suppose it depends on the robot - or the human - who stuck it on.

6 years on...
Just thought I'd share my 6+ years of C5 ownership, at least from the perspective of down under in Australia. Been lurking here on the forum for that long too, but what an amazing and invaluable resource the shared experiences have been in amongst all the banter too. :-) Some stats from my C5 owners...

Re: LED tail lights
Don't know about inpro, but these are the ones I got 4 years ago. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audi-A6-S6-RS6-C5-4B-LED-Rear-Tail-Lights-Lamp-Red-White-Saloon-S-Line-97-05-/321196494406 Brake light and side light are LED, indicator and reversing light are standard bulb. Yes, I'm v happy with them. Philip

Re: Mugello Blue??
Heh heh, all the Mugello Blue RS6 owners come out of the woodwork. Okay, me too. Love the colour, I think it's the best, and makes the car look understated. Unless of course you don't want understated in which case...

Re: air conditioning compressor whine
Thanks Maximo. Coded to the car? Oh gee. :-( Well, I got the car back today, replacement compressor in place, very cold a/c (it's never ever been like this). Plus the buttons on the control panel seem to be working again (hmmm). I'll work away with the current panel for now - AU$2500 was the quote f...

air conditioning compressor whine
Ok, rather than resurrecting my year old (almost to the day) posting (http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=104448), an update. First off, lesson learnt. I should have just got the thing sorted a year ago when it first started. :bash: But it wasn't constant whine, just sometimes, and then it'd ...

Re: Will S5 rims fit?
My RS6 is running rims which came off the current model RS5. Offset 32 (as opposed to RS6 OEM of 35), 5x112 bolt pattern (but that's most of VAG group), and 255/35R19 XL Pirellis. The only difference is that the A5s have a 66.6mm hub diameter (why?? did they get them from Mercedes?? http://www.wheel...

Re: What wheels for an RS6
I've gone and done this: 19x9 ET33 "peelers". I like the original standard C5 RS6 alloys, but they need serious refurb work (last owner visited lots of kerbs, and had removed the paint/polished them up). And then ebay delivered, yay! I'm v happy with the look. Now I can refurb the originals at my le...

Just to share: New Tyres
Just a simple FYI posting, nothing more... :-) Finally the Falkens had to go - folks (especially RS6 newbies), please don't ever buy those tyres if you get offered. Yes they were hard wearing, but the ride is like concrete and they wail like nothing else (you'd think the drive train was failing). An...

DRC recall in Australia
http://www.behindthewheel.com.au/2013/0 ... c5-recall/
Yeah, we are a bit behind the times down here, and too late for me now anyway... Unless Audi will volunteer to replace the PSS9s with brand spanking new faultless DRC (somehow I doubt that).

Measurements from the floor to the start of the wheel arch in the axis of the center of the wheel: Front: 672 mm Rear: 675 mm Hmmm, mine is on PSS9s too, and I've got the fronts as high as I can get - I think! Front:650mm Rear: 653mm 02-RS6.JPG Seems to sit okay - was better than it was after the P...

airconditioning compressor whine?
In the last few weeks a fairly significant whining noise has started emanating from the front of the car. Going on a couple of old threads, I'm suspecting airconditioning compressor. Whine stops when the a/c is turned off; and sounds like a small jet turbine starting about 10-15s after the engine is...
