Re: Estate people dog guard?

I've got a metal dog guard that came with my car which I don't use. It fits over the rear seat locking mechanism, and if I remember correctly, is easy enough to fit and remove. Not sure if it's genuine Audi, but fits well and is very strong. If its any use to anyone and you can collect it from eithe...

Re: Le Mans anyone???

Grub Street is nice but can suffer with motorway noise. I'm the other side of the A25 just off the golf course. Small world, my brothers in Coulsdon, Portnalls Road or Close or something like that. I'm leaving early Thursday morning and back late Sunday evening as I'm back at work Monday. Camping at...

Re: Le Mans anyone???

Wow. I used to race those years ago....fantastic.....but on the open road? Good luck.
Think you'll manage a toothbrush and sleeping bag.
If you get really stuck, and need anything taken down, I'm not too far from coulsdon.

Re: Le Mans anyone???

Change of mind. Due to the M3 having a tiny boot (by comparison), I'm taking the RS6 to Le Mans. I've convinced myself that due to conflicting weather forecasts I need to be prepared for all eventualities and the Avant's load capacity is ideal. As is the speed, the Bose, the etc etc. You see what I'...

Re: Le Mans anyone???

M3, but it won't be a patch on the RS6 which I took down last year. Four up with all our luggage in total comfort at fairly high speed was awesome. We were in convoy with an RS4, who lost his licence whilst there, an Aston Martin V8 from the mid 70s, a Lotus Esprit and two Caterhams. This year it's ...

Re: RS6 V M3

Thanks Amanda. Think I'm gonna struggle writing the ad, but needs must and all that.
As an aside, I've always got some <beep> glued to the back bumper of the M3 trying to "have a go" which I never got with the Audi.
Anyway, I Will Be Back! And all that. :beerchug:

Re: RS6 V M3

Decision made, the RS6 is with the valeters now before I sell her. It has been the best all round car I've ever had but as I'm often the only person in it, stuck in traffic, on my way to work, it seems the M3 is more suitable. I've spent a fortune on the Audi in the last year replacing the cam belt ...

Re: Brake pad warning light

Had a similar thing last year. On mine, it turned out to be the loom that goes from the front hub to the inner wing which had a broken wire internally. Used to put the pad warning lamp on intermittently. Discovered it by wiggling the wires until the light came on.

Re: RS6 V M3

Yep... There really is no comparison. They are both very different beasts. I love driving a manual transmission again and the BMW seems to fit better, after all the RS6 is a very big car. As an everyday car the M3 works better. Heart says one thing and head says another. I can't justify two cars but...
