Re: Detailed RS engine specs anybody?
relatively industrial sized . +psi if nec. Will be custom made. One of the guys is an aero eng. specialty = compressors. He 'designed' the turbo for the corrado. 1bar @ 3.8krpm; 2.2 bar @ 8krpm. Nicknamed the 'freight train' (from the turbo whistle and the tq).

Re: Detailed RS engine specs anybody?
Why not go the easier and cheaper route, all easily available in the US: Boss 429 cu in all alloy block/heads, titanium rods & pistons, full floating pins, Dyers 8-71 blower with Enderle Fuel Injection etc etc ............... I've actually built a few of those. (not exactly your specs but brute for...

Re: Sportec RS550 From Geneva
What about the chart? It was right infront of the car 'cause that's the only reason I took a pic of the car (no dsrspct but there were WRC cars and F1 cars there as well as other race cars). I tried asking about the car (boost, internal mods, etc) but everybody at the show was either German/French/ ...

Re: Detailed RS engine specs anybody?
I'm not too worried about the $$$ because our sponsors have faith in us. Our plan of attack (on the sponsors) is to also use the aspect that cars in the US are 'drifting' towards bigger engines (however more efficient) and using the V8 as a showboat may receive alot of publicity (small car. Golf. mi...

Re: Detailed RS engine specs anybody?
as if it's his fecking forum That's why I asked nicely. ooops sorry if we hi-jacked your post Thanks for being professional about it even though "it's not my fecking forum". I'm trying to get the specs because there are a few of us here in the states looking to build a race car (about 1 & 1/2 yrs) ...

What car is that in the pic above (my post)?
I'm starting to wonder if that dyno chart was just lingering nearby just to be noticed (?).

Re: Twin Turbos
Long detailed explanation but pretty much EVERY seq setup is going to have a flat spot at the switchover. Minimizing the duration of the flat spot or compensating for it is where genius comes in. Ever notice that most people who modify their seq setups usually opt for larger single turbo (some go tw...

Re: Sportec 650 RS4
Hey. I give up. U guys figure it out. I was "attacked" on the RS6 forum for posting an RS4 V6TT powered car among the likes of V8TT RS6's. After carefully going over the chart it says RS4 V6TT. Read the chart (to the best u can). Go figure. *unless that chart was just arbitrarily put beside the car ...

Sportec 650 RS4
I posted these in the RS6 forum not realizing it was an RS4.
But before u start throwing inanimate objects (or animate...) check them out in my album/gallery. (please excuse the disposable camera quality)
Note the dyno chart figures.
Ignore the ford (or not). That's for another post.

Re: Sportec RS550 From Geneva
I'm really confused guys, Bettonracing is posting a 650bhp RS4 engine detail in a Sportec RS550 thread relating to an RS6? - am I getting close, or am I still going images/graemlins/062802beat_prv.gif Hey Andiroo. U're right. After seeing the pics I didn't even go back to check and make sure I had ...
