Re: C6 (any version) Clicking wheel bearing thread
Just thought I'd let you guys know I originally thought I had a clicking wheel bearing issue but it actually ended up just being the heat shield that covers the exhaust and centre drive shaft.

Re: 8 Speed ZF8hp from C7 RS7 and RS6 retrofit.
Im guessing you need the mechatronics unit too to make this work for either the c7 8 speed or q7 8 speed. Also would these boxes be able to hold the torque produced by the RS6 v10t?

A6, S6 and RS6 grilles...are the interchangeable?
I'm looking at going black optics on my RS6 and I was under the impression that S6 owners bought RS6 grilles to get the honeycomb RS grill look and that A6 owners bought S6 grilles for the S line look. I've bought a cheap eBay black grille meant for A6/S6 with the honeycomb RS thinking it would fit ...

Re: RS6 Hot Start Issues
Do you have normal VCDS? You need to measure the fuel pressure in high pressure contour. After turning on ignition (w/o engine start) it should rise. If not - injectors are leaking. If it rise - this is not an injector problem and better to check sensors. Yes I have VCDS, but had the car in for a m...

Re: RS6 Hot Start Issues
After some research it looks like the part number for our injectors is 079906036C and manufactured by Hitachi as OEM.
The Hitachi injector can also be found in the following models too
A6
A8
Q7
R8
S5
TOUAREG
...no need for the RS tax.

Re: RS6 Hot Start Issues
sounds like lazy 02s if its light load and highway driving. O2s are A OK, seems to be it's an injector issue but would assumed any stage 1,2 or 3 cars will decrease the life expectancy of their o2s with pushing richer and hotter exhaust gasses pass them. 1st change fuel filter - it's a seperate par...

Re: RS6 Hot Start Issues
Adam did you end up finding out what your misfiring issue was? I've got the exact same issue and have changed plugs, cleaned my MAP sensors etc and it still comes up occasionally. I did change the petrol station i was getting fuel from and seemed to help and then it came back. My issue seem to only ...

Re: ITG Filter Breakdown
I have service coming up and it's been about a year since I put the ITG filters in, I just hope they haven't deteriorated them same. I have however purchased some BMC filters as replacements. I thought the excess oil on the ITG filters were fouling up the MAP sensors causing me to suffer from multip...
